  1. Full circle...

I think many enthusiasts recognize this is truly a drivers car. Although, many owners may not see this. Hindsight is 20/20, and I don’t think I appreciated my ITR for what it truly was at the time. I think that’s why you see a lot of M2 and CTR cross over. Best drivers car BMW has made since...
  2. Full circle...

Break in period is almost over. The car delivers and I try very hard to be objective with the cars I’ve owned. A lot of it is nostalgia and the feeling of mixing the ITR/Evo (see write up in my thread). The only thing I plan on changing right now is unplugging the pumped in sound. I may get...

100% agree. Don’t think twice about this decision. CTR is better in every way possible in comparison to an STi.

whoa whoa whoa. stop. CTR is good, but the M2, M4, TTRS, GT350 are all faster. the ring time was in a caged car with cup2 tires. It is not faster around the ring in stock form (full interior on Contis). Coming from an M2, this car is NOT faster. Sorry. Is it more satisfying? Yes.
  5. Purchasing a 2021 CTR out of state questions

Carmax estimates tax tags and fees to be $5500. So, $44,785. Add $1k for shipping. That’s not a bad OTD price for CA.
  6. Purchasing a 2021 CTR out of state questions

CA is such a tough market. They can be found for <2k ADM, though. That makes it about equivalent to ship with closed transport depending on distance.

yeah none of this spring business. If I mod the suspension on this car it’ll have to be better than stock... and that means some high end dedicated coil over system.
  8. Does anyone know if the LE has stiffer springs than the base CTR ?

I would also like to know this. Because this also makes me wonder if the computer tuning only accounts for the unsprung weight reduction.
  9. Full circle...

I hope so! Last 3 cars lasted < 20k miles each. Car is amazing so far.
  10. Full circle...

Welcome, just got my CTR last weekend and it literally took me 3 years of on and off searching and 2 cars in between (Focus RS and M2). I hope the hype remains real- the car is fantastic so far.
  11. Initial Driving Impressions and Comparisons (ITR/EvoIX/15STi/FocusRS/OGM2)

if you get a chance to drive one, you’re going to want one. it’s so good. STi doesn’t hold a candle to it.
  12. Initial Driving Impressions and Comparisons (ITR/EvoIX/15STi/FocusRS/OGM2)

Car doppelgängers, I like it. Also have an X3m40i. Can’t wait to get more seat time, but since I’m older and am beginning to like more of those creature comforts, I do think the CTR will take that top spot as it appears to just do everything well. Selling the M2 soon, going to be sad to see it go.
  13. Initial Driving Impressions and Comparisons (ITR/EvoIX/15STi/FocusRS/OGM2)

Have not driven the Veloster N. Didn't really entice me in the least bit, but I hear it's a good car. I needed more space anyway. Having now owned two cars with the gimmicky pops and crackles, I think I'm over it.
  14. Initial Driving Impressions and Comparisons (ITR/EvoIX/15STi/FocusRS/OGM2)

I've been around this forum for a while now. I've been on Honda-Tech since 2000. And, I finally found a CTR at the right price here in SoCal. I have driven a lot of cars, but owned fewer. I'll make comparisons to those I've owned. Here it goes (this is more of a stream of consciousness, happy to...
  15. CTR at (or below?!!) sticker NICE LIST!

Seems like prices are coming down in CA. Snatch them up people!
  16. Honda Civic Type-R Over sticker dealer naughty list.

indio. They’ve been great so far. I think they just want to move cars. good financing rate too. even though they have adm, the belong on the nice list given that this is SoCal.
  17. Honda Civic Type-R Over sticker dealer naughty list.

Thanks! Saga is over. Found one for $1k over!
  18. 2021 Civic Type R LE Transit and Dealer spreadsheet

Riverside Honda has it at 100k. By far the most I’ve seen/heard of. I’ll buy an M2CS instead, thanks.
