Ow those are older 2000 Accord type R calipers .They are basically the same calipers as the old Acura legend and accord coupe v6 had.Twin piston 38 and 42mm and they use 1998 integra type r brake pads.Only difference is the ATR used them on a 300x28mm disc where all other used them on a 282...
Yeah that's the problem when using those adaptor plates .You need to use half size filters then like hamp and others.Full size are way too close to the ground.Or an angled adaptor like map performance.
A while ago I made a reinforcement for the Fk8 subframe brace and welded it in place.
I got it nickel plated along with some Accord type R calipers .And today tested a little DIY powder coating.Came out looking great satin black.
Will install the brace in a few weeks when I'm doing a oil change.
Austin@Wunderladen Racing can most likely explain this better.I asked Spoon a while ago about these and they said the ball joint is extended 11mm and they are made for the Spoon lowering springs which lower 30mm.
They also say it's best used with their tie rods.
From what I've read the tie rods...
I need to check this on mine too .Currently at 80xxxkm .In europe the hose cost 25euro or dollar o_O.
Think i might get some hose from a auto parts shop.
I'm running ST X coilovers on my EDM sedan . (Part number 13250039) They are available in 2 different damper sizes 50.5mm and 52mm.Neither of them are suitable for active dampers( I believe those are 54mm) so they won't fit on a SI .
My 1.5T (non si) sedan has 52mm dampers .
The ST coilovers...
How does this compare to the hardrace fk8 mount?
I think wheel hop will be reduced more by replacing the front lower trailing arm bushings.Currently also running oem fk8 mount but the wheel hop is bad. This insert seems like a nice upgrade .
I havent seen the rod code no.But it would make sense that honda US used what was avaliable in their country then to order/import rods from outside the US.Same thing with the European Sedans being build in turkey .
Wouldn't make sence for them to import the Si rods when they have regular hatch...
Yeah you can always buy the SI rods from the US and import them. But the crv uses the same ones.
IMO it's not worth all the work to swap those rods in for something that is only a little bit better.Better off just putting in aftermarket rods or if a engine replacement is necessary swap in a crv...
Yes I have the same engine also BB .As far as I have found they use the weaker rods ,same as in the hatchbacks. Only US made sedans have the Si rods.
As far as air flow and engine Temps etc .
A few years ago I measured under hood Temps in the summer when it was 30°C outside .I measured it...
9thgen civic is also civic Fk2 it was a hatch and the civic tourer. They where made up to 2016 2017 I believe.
You need the model later which says civic lx .That says 2017 2020 civic
Most calipers are axial mounted (90 degree to the face of the rotor).Radial mounted is parallel with the rotor.
Type r fk8 brembo calipers are made for 350 x32mm rotors.Which is huge and they Most likely will have fitment issues with wheels and offset .I only seen them being used for some s2000...
These wrenches are much thicker then a regular one,and are stronger .They are specific made for brake lines, bleeder screws.Use a mixture of acetone and ATF fluid 50/50 as a penetrating oil. This works 10times better then any other penetrating oil.
Mfactory changed their design over the years. My old Mfactory diff didn't split at the flange. It was like the wavetrac is.
Those where being used a lot back then with Boosted D and B series guys .
How about quaify diffs? They always seemed to be great quality ,but they lacked in support if...
