  1. Do I dare go another winter with original battery? (2018)

Just a quick update... Looks like I made it through another winter!!! 6 year old original battery. Caveat though...there's only about 19K mi. on the car. I never considered if battery wear was due purely to age...or number of starts/charges. This seems to be indicating that it's heavily...
  2. Do I dare go another winter with original battery? (2018)

Already there. Each family member car has one. I consider these things mandatory cargo.
  3. Do I dare go another winter with original battery? (2018)

2018...about 16K miles. Battery still acts completely normal. Not even a hint that it's getting weak. And yes, I know...weather is still warm. Should I risk it? or nearly guaranteed it's gonna leave me stranded this winter?
  4. HB armrest same as sedan armrest?

Nope...sorry for not being more clear. I'm referring to the DOOR armrests.
  5. HB armrest same as sedan armrest?

Is anyone able to confirm/deny that the armrest for a HB and sedan are the same 'fit'? Like...if I bought some leather covers for my HB armrest, ones made for a sedan would fit?
  6. Door armrest for HB same as coupe or sedan?

Anyone happen to know if the door armrest on a HB are the same as any other non-HB models?
  7. How many years did your factory battery last?

2018, garage kept, 16K miles. Still on original. Just now getting cold this year but so far, no hints of even a slow start. Based on life experience though, once even the best rated batteries reach 4-5 years old, you can expect to have to replace them at any time.
  8. What oil is everyone using ?

Use Amsoil 0W-30....because I only drive about 6500 miles a year...so the extra cost is no big deal. I also like the 30 weight for the extra protection. Also, use Fram Ultra filters.
  9. How many years did your factory battery last?

Have 2018 (and wife has 2018 CRV). No sign of any sluggish starting now or last winter....but life experience tells me that 4 years is pushing it for any non-premium aftermarket car battery.
  10. Variable Intermittent wiper

Can you move the wiper blades by hand? I think even with the motor off/car off, you should be able to move them.
  11. 2019 1.5L tear-down (failed)

  12. My horn BLOWS!

I've got this all built out and just need to install it (just 1 courtesy horn tho). The audio file could be changed to say or sound like anything you want.
  13. My horn BLOWS!

Nice how-to on changing out the horns....and wiring the CORRECT way. https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/diy-aftermarket-horn-install.20074/
  14. 9" Aftermarket Android Head Unit (Feature Overview / Installation)

So I maybe don't have to sift through almost 100 pages, can someone give me the executive summary? What's the latest version being tried here? What are the results (what doesn't work)? What extras are needed? Pricing? Overall, one of these Chinese Android units worth taking a shot on?
  15. Oil choice.

Been running Amsoil SS 0w-30 since day 1. Basically stock. Not concerned about any loss in MPG - would much rather trade that little bit of extra efficiency from 0w-20 for the added protection. Only drive about 7K/year so the extra cost of the Amsoil is a complete non-concern. I now change the...
  16. HELP!! Stock windshield wipers are pure CRAP!!

  17. 2017 Hatch Sport on Swift Sport Springs

So yeah, those aren't the Sport springs
  18. 2017 Hatch Sport on Swift Sport Springs

I've been waiting on the Swift Sport springs to become available and just ran across this post. Being a little surprise, I just checked the Swift site and sure enough, they do NOT list the Sport model springs as being available for the Civic (ANY Civic). What's going on here?
  19. Fuel pump recall issued for 2018-2019 Civic Hatchbacks and Type R

Okay...so sounds like a typical fuel pump location....meaning the techs are far less likely to break two other things while replacing it. I'll prolly even remove the rear-seat before dropping off the car just to avoid them messing that up somehow. (in case you can't tell, I absolutely HATE...
