Title says it all, the only sure way to eliminate the problem is to remove the 1234yf and oil completely and then have r134 with its oil in the system. The thing is I dont have the skill or tools to do it, so I know its sketchy but I am hoping there is a mechanic that could do it
The issue is now under warranty, but I think I want to replace my 1234 with 134, another guy on youtube did it with a video that had instructions. Does the replacement have any negative effects with the expansion valve? (Some guy on reddit is saying that liquid refrigerant can still enter the...
So I'm back to modding the exterior of my car and I keep thinking all these mods are going to make my car more appealing to steal. I live near a city with a high theft rate so I guess I am wondering if anyone has extra security systems installed and what is recommended for our Civic 10th gens...
I recently recharged my a/c compressor refrigerant with leak seal but it was hissing for a few weeks and coolant was near the bottom.
I figure I need to refill compressor oil too, but this thing says 2oz, will using all of it be fine? I wont over-fill the oil?
I also want to be sure this...
Thread title
I refilled my compressor and the leak stopped but im afraid of some oil having been lost, I can not find the recommended POE oil for the r1234yf compressors, anyone know where else to look besides the major auto parts retailers?
I have been in email correspondence with someone at berger montague over this issue, they aren't adding any representatives or plantiffs, but he says that Honda has claimed in court that their program with the 10 year warranty covers all aspects of the Civic Air conditioning system. (I have...
Okay, I know Im bringing up am old thread but its still prevalent: WHY is the compressor not under recall?? I mean its a documented thing... why does this take so much time?
(Ive had my compressor replaced 2x and just had it serviced but it was just the o rings this time to get it good again)
Yes I have already checked the tires and recalibrated it every time it happens. That was the first thing done.
Im not saying its a widespread issue, so yours could be just fine.
I was just wondering if it had happened to anyone else but it sounds like it hasnt.
Does anyone else have issues like this?
I first thought it could be because of season change but the pressure is constant. Plus, it ONLY happens if I drive long distances, like 100 miles give or take (which I do on occasion for work,) this does not happen with shorter distances like the daily...
Theres a class suit in progress but its nearly 18 months old and movong slowly (cant remember where it says here but youre not the only post with this issue)
How is this not a class action suit yet? How is there not some kind of recall or lemon law thing for the a/c or compressor? (I know of the thing set up nearly 18 months ago but nothing has progressed it seems)
I had my compressor fail at 32k and it was replaced. I was told it was a one off and...
I've been looking for months and found this:
https://www.modzlife.com/product/kevmannz-10th-gen-honda-civic-widebody-kit
I figure I'd want to share the fruits of my labor with those who are looking
Yeah, finding it again quickly is appealing; I just wish services like onstar werent limited to GM cars since that seems like a good service to have for any vehicle
I said when stopped it cant start again, when the car stops; granted it doesnt actually stop the car itself, but when the car flashes lights and alarms uncontrollably when in motion after having been stolen, its likely not going to be getting far, either by a thief who panics, or the police who...
