Also, how much of a pain is it to replace the tweeters, especially in the front. I was looking at a component set of JL Audio speakers. I would like to replace the tweeters as well, but I want to make sure they look factory. In all of my other cars, I have never replaced tweeters because of...
Are we sure the rear speakers are 6.5' speakers? This picture really makes the rears look closer to a 4" or 5.25". I just looked in my trunk and they definitely look smaller than a 6.5".
I figured i would bump this topic up. I am starting to really do research on my audio setup in my car. I see a lot of people are recommending the Polk component set up front and the coaxials in the rear. Why not do the component set in the rears as well since thats what stock is.
As far as...
My favorite part about this in my experience is when the Service Salesman brings out your cabin air filter to show you how bad it is and asks you if you want to have them replace it for $50+. At this point, there is literally no labor since he needs to replace my cabin air filter anyways! I...
Don't forget that countries are trying to ban new production of combustible engine cars. This means all electric. I believe Europe said no more new combustible engine automobiles by 2030.
I thought the HDMI exhaust was just for the SI, not any other model. All of a sudden I have been noticing more and more non-SI civics with the same exhaust. I love my SI, but I truly feel like Honda took away everything that was special to the SI. My last car was a 2007 Civic SI. The 8th gen...
My dealer called me, so I asked to speak with service. The service adviser said they don't recommend doing this treatment until around 100k miles. Does this seem right?
I bought a can of the CRC GDI turbo and intake valve cleaner. On my 17 Civic Si, do I spray it directly into the turbo after the MAF sensor? I thought I read that you are not supposed to spray into the turbo, but after the turbo. Sorry, this is my first Turbo/GDI vehicle. I want to get this...
This is your car's black box like planes have. I do not know if it knows anything about the ECU tune. For example, if you were in a bad accident and you obliterated a parked car and said you were driving 5 MPH, the insurance company can pay to have the data from the box recovered for more...
I got a call from the woman handling my claim and she told me. It took a couple of weeks for this to happen. My claim is only $100 so it was probably accepted easily. Those of you that are on the hook for close to $1k, might take longer. You could always call the number back to get an update...
Has anyone gotten a reimbursement yet? I have been approved for mine, but I am waiting for them to process it. I guess it could take 2-3 weeks. I'm glad they are so efficient with this.:rolleyes1:
Just in case anybody wasn't aware of this, if you paid to have your AC condenser replaced before the TSB came out, you can get reimbursed for it through Honda. Call 1-800-999-1009 to open a case with Honda. You will be assigned a case number and you will need to prove your payment for the service.
I just had my AC condenser replaced this weekend. My 17 Si is less than 2 years old, but has 38k miles on it. I couldn't get it replaced under factory warranty, but extended warranty covered it minus my $100 deductible. Total repair on my sheet showed around $850. i don't use my AC that much...
I got my sizes from Crutchfield's website. It lists the rears as 4" for some reason. I realize the sub is an 8", but the center front speaker is listed as a 3.5" speaker.
