  2. Jerky throttle in traffic in 2nd gear

Are you on stock or Ktuned? I'm Ktuned and the jerks definitely worse. However, I turn on cruise control(which enables rev hang) when I'm stuck in traffic shifting between neutral to 1 to 2 constantly and it's significantly better.
  3. If your Civic SI is a lease and want good sound w/o upgrading sound system

Is there a setting that you have to change on the HU to point to V4A as the default?

Just curious, will leaving the cruise control on most of the time effect anything? Reason I'm asking is since I'm tuned with TSP stage 1, the jerkiness driving in traffic sucks in the bay area with rev hang delete. Turning cruise control on(therefore disable rev hang delete) is night and day...
  5. Oil changes

Are you guys changing your oil every 5k or going by the MM?
  6. My impressions on long distance drives

Great write up! I'm heading down to LA from the bay this weekend and was pretty excited to be taking my first long road trip with mines, but am even more excited now after reading your post!
  7. I am filled with regret !!

We all agree that stock is a bit too quiet. In looking for a bit more sound, I almost went with a muffler delete, but decided to go with a resonator delete since the research/videos showed that a muffler delete is a bit louder and also has drones at certain rpms. I've been really happy with the...
  8. Maintenance minder number changed after flashing to stock

I, too, am curious if flashing with TSP does affect the MM in any way. I've searched but can't really find much on it. I flashed mines about 2 months ago when the MM was at 70% and it stayed at 70% for a little over 1 1/2 month and just recently dropped to 60% like last week. I'm currently at...
  9. Oil life question

I'd be looking at roughly 14k miles for my first oil change if I go by the MM. Has anyone drove that long without doing their first oil change? I, too, am on TSP1 with K&N filter replaced 2-3 months back. I've read conflicting posts regarding the MM so just wasn't too sure. Also read that black...
  10. Oil life question

I'm at ~7k miles(6 months) and it just recently dropped to 60%. I know people say to wait til it's 15-20% but that seems a little farfetched in my case. I drive about 25 miles each way to work mostly highways. I checked the oil and it is a little dark. I'm thinking about just doing an oil change...
  11. Oil Life 50% at 1500 Miles

I'm at 7k with 70% oil life(though it's been 70% for almost 2 months). I read people say to wait til it drops to 15-20% before changing even if mileage is a little higher(this will be my first). I wonder if it is ideal to wait that long given the miles I've driven. I drive 60/40 hwy/city. Any...
  12. Heading to Lake Tahoe for the weekend...

I feel you on this one. I went to tahoe late January and couldn't take my Si up there. Instead had to take the wife's highlander and all I could think about during the twisties was how much fun it would have been if I had my Si on this drive. Fortunately, the highlander with the AWD worked out...
  13. Deleting my resonator?

Good stuff! Totally agree this is how the stock should have been.
  14. Deleting my resonator?

$60 is a pretty good price. I got mines done for $80. A few other shops I called tried to charge me between $120-180..pshhh. It's also pretty quick, 30-45 mins and I told the shop I wanted to keep the resonator in case I do decide to put it back which I don't believe I'll be doing after getting...
  15. Deleting my resonator?

+1 for the resonator delete. It gives a nice tone, but not too loud. I wanted a little more tone in lower gears but not be able to hear it cruising on the highway and the resonator delete did just that.
  16. Spare tire recommendations

That is the kit I got for my 2019 4dr SI Sedan. For some reason I thought the Coupes had a slightly different part number than the Sedan. Anyways, yeah shipping is pretty crazy. My shipping was $70. Total came out to $247 vs what the dealer quoted me $500 something(foh!). Hondaparts just...
  17. Spare tire recommendations

So I just received my spare tire kit from Honda Parts Network. Looking to get a tire for it. Any recommendations? Saw on tirerack that the prices start at about $120. Think I read somewhere a little while back that someone got one for like ~$80. Also, can someone confirm what the tire size is...
  18. Joined the KTuner world

Correct, you can't do on the fly map switching with the app. It's done with the cancel button on the cruise control per Nokz video here: https://www.civicx.com/threads/joined-the-ktuner-world.34484/#post-576796
  19. How can brake hold be used to hill start 1st/reverse on the Si?

For me, it disengages when the car starts moving forward. I've used it a few times on hills and it's never dropped back.
  20. Just got back from having a resonator delete done...

I too just got a resonator delete a few days ago and the following day got the ktuner with TSP stage 1. It definitely has a better growl, but not overwhelming. The ktuner makes driving the car much more fun and shifting(1 to 2) seems to have improved for me.
