I would say so, yes.
I've done shifters on other cars that were similar cost but didn't allow nearly (or any) the amount of adjustment that the Acuity does. I have it set to be taller than stock but still such a short, crisp throw. It makes me smile every time I drive the car.
I’m a fan of Chicane Motorsports. Granted they mostly specialize in European work they do have an awesome shop and do some non-Euro work from time to time.
I do all of my work other than alignments, but starting to consider having shops do more for me.
I love our local Cars and Coffee meets, haven’t been to one in quite a while actually. Always some interesting cars to show up, usually roll up with my gear head neighbors. I’ll be at the next Olathe one for sure.
Nice, I'm really enjoying it. Unfortunately haven't been able to play as much as I wanted, between work and my kids stealing my VR rig from me to play Star Wars themselves.
Definitely looks like this "OEM" grille that just has a flat panel for the Honda emblem and that same similar bolt hole right in the center. My bet is the grille was damaged somehow and they replaced with this cheap aftermarket...
So I picked up Squadrons last night and it’s flat out amazing. Haven’t even had a chance to do any multiplayer matches, but the single player missions are fun and the immersion into the Star Wars universe is incredible. If you have a HOTAS with your VR setup I highly recommend it.
Well even though this thread has died off, I'd like to at least try to pick things back up in the KC area and have some sort of enthusiast community. Help each other working on the cars, hit some track days, go to Cars and Coffee, whatever.
I've been seeing more SI's around town but nobody seems to care about them.
There's a red one at work (or at least there was before working from home) with a Chiefs sticker on the back and a Darth Maul vinyl on the gas cap. That anyone here? lol
I may eventually grab another e30 as a track toy, but having any euro car as my DD is out of the question. My e46 ZHP had the dreaded frame cracks in the rear, plus Vanos issues, all kinds of stuff. Just drove me nuts how a million little things would go wrong on what was otherwise an...
I've been trying to be more deliberate about getting out for a spirited drive when I can, or at least taking the long way home when I do go run an errand. I have some fun new parts for the car coming this week and will really want to go have some fun.
Welcome! I also came from euro cars, loved my BMWs but got sick of the maintenance. For such over-engineered cars they sure have a lot of stupid little issues.
Limiters are something I'm not typically a fan of, they can cause some handling issues if you unexpectedly reach that limit. Ideally you shouldn't be having any issues except when lifting the car, as you have done.
Agreed that it sounds like the spring rotating in the perch when the car was lifted. I’ve had some other cars that suffered from this with lowering springs, just had to remember to verify spring orientation before putting the car back down. Or install limiters.
