I pumped e30 at the same gas station I’ve always used. Never had an issue. I didn’t see a dip and hit pretty hard the frame. After that night. Knock control rose to 1.0. Didn’t think too much of it since it was going down gradually. And eventually got it back to 0.49. However the next day it...
The downpipe is the issue when it comes to smog. It’s a hit or miss if it throws a code. I heard full race catted downpipe doesn’t throw a code. But I’m still trying to find a solution.
I’ve emailed 27won, they stated you can run the generic w1 tune, but it’s just so you can get to the tune shop and get a custom tune,. Also, I don’t think you could remove it as one unit, just because one of the nuts/bolts is near impossible to remove without removing the downpipe.
You’ll be fine. I’ve been running w2 with a somewhat similar setup on 93 and flex fuel tune. As someone said, depends on your driving habits and how hard you push it. Just daily driving and maybe some spirited driving will be fine.
This is what I meant to say. In addition without your ect2 (second) sensor relaying temperature, your radiator fans won’t turn on. So the ethanol basemap will make it so your radiator fan depends on your ect1 sensor instead.
You need to have a tune with ethanol enabled. On prl flex fuel kit, you get power from the ect2 wire. Without an ethanol tune enabled at least, your radiator won’t get the input from the ect2 or ect1 sensor to do its job. You could cause your car to over heat.
Thank you!
I’m thinking it’s a faulty sensor, I’ll move my ground wire to a different spot too see if it has any effect and the reading is more stable. The last few days it’s been bouncing between 15%-20% after I pumped full 93 as it was all I had.
Question I searched but haven’t found anything related. I pumped gas and ethanol using a calculator to get an e30 blend just a day or so ago. The % on ktuner tuner view showed 32%. It got a little warm and the percentage jumped to 40-60% on the same fuel and then sometimes it would jump to 0%...

Yeah I ran the base map for months for daily driving. Didn’t track it. I mean the base map is conservative, so running it should be fine, and you should have no issues. Depends on what other mods you have for sure. Custom tune will usually be more aggressive tune.
