  1. Unable to sync contacts with 7inch infotainment

I have the same problem with HTC 10. Considering how old is your message, I would have expected some solution by now.
  2. Mystery dash rattle driving me crazy

How do you remove the centre speaker?
  3. Removing B pillar trim

Does anybody know how to remove inside B pillar trim covers without breaking anything? I want to investigate rattling that seems to be coming from that area.
  4. raising th RPM so car stops vibrating ?

I have this issue in my Civic. It indeed looks to be a means of reducing fuel consumption. But it makes this engine quite unrefined. I would prefer better refinement over minor gain in fuel economy.
  5. Anyone else notice a difference with Costco gas?

I would like to add something for a sober discussion. Here in Australia Costco is a relative newcomer and they sell petrol, apparently supplied by Mobil. They of course say nothing about the additives they use except that all their fuels do contain them. Due to a combination of proximity and...
  6. A-PILLAR RATTLE

I had such rattles. Removing A pillars is easy. First pop out the small plastic cover towards the top of the trim. There is a screw under it that you need to remove. After that gently pop out the the pillar trim (now held by a push clip at the back). Find some foam and place behind and see how...
  7. CVT or Manual, Change my mind

Alternatively you can move to Australia where every Civic, except Type R, is CVT. Sometimes it is easier not to have choice. We also don't get 2L engine.

Y You are very unlikely to reach 10.000km in standard and especially spirited driving. For my first 10.000 I was driving my RS as gently as possible trying to see what would be the best fuel economy. I managed to get to 9.700km before oil change was due. So that 10.000km is technically...
  9. Vibration on idle

My car does the same (idles at 600). I think this low idle is a part of the never-ending quest to reduce fuel consumption, especially on the official test cycle where cars spend considerable time stationary. I am guessing that all engines would vibrate somewhat at this idle speed. So it is...

So they did not charge you because maintenance indicator showed that your service is due before 10.000km on the clock? My understanding is that Civic has variable service intervals depending on many factors, especially driving style. My next service due info popped up before 10.000 km as well...

    How come?
  12. Aussie Civic owners

Why would changing engine oil be related to CVT? CVT has its own fluid. I do not mind changing engine oil every 8-10.000 km but I do mind paying ~$280 at the dealers. I understand that Honda dealers in US charge less than half for the same service.
  13. 2018 Civic SI Sedan Audio Rattles

A pillar is notorious for rattles. I had rattles in both of them. Dealers typically remove plastic trim and put some foam behind. It appears to work. Not sure if this will help with your problem but it is worthwhile trying. It is actually easy to remove the trim yourself.

I can not be sure that your buzzing sound is actually normal. It is well known that DI high pressure injectors are noisy until fully warmed up. Even then 1.5T engine is reported to be less refined than NA 1.8L engine (I did not compare them myself). Another thing is that to improve fuel economy...

I find the head unit very slow. I believe it is run by 2012-class of nVidia Tegra 3 processor. Graphic design is anything but modern. Menus look like something from 10 years ago which is not surprising considering an almost ancient version of Android it uses. I happen to have access to 2017...

1.5T engine is known to have slightly rattly sound when cold which seems to be a common DI trait. It disappears when the engine warms up. I hope this is the buzz you are talking about.
  17. Idle RPM

So you can directly set idle speed with Ktuner or FlashPro (unfortunately I do not have any of them)? Can this be done by the dealer with their HDS?
  18. Idle RPM

I am in Australia and my RS CVT with 1.5T also idles at 600 RPM (when warm) and I notice vibrations, especially when in D. I understand that this low idle RPM is good for fuel consumption but is probably responsible for lack of refinement when stationary. My old MY2000 3L Hyundai XG (called...
