I can only speak to the Canada pricing mentioned here. Please keep in mind that 42k Canadian dollars is less than 32k in US dollars, which makes it less expensive than the US model and it has more equipment.
My driveway is also quite steep and I have to take it at an angle to avoid scraping. The body is so stiff, one of the wheels lifts off the ground a few inches every time I drive up it.

I am in the beginning stages of what you are describing now. I have a case number with Honda Corporate and am meeting the DM this Wednesday to demonstrate the issue. I am hoping for an overall better experience. I will keep you posted.
So far, reactions have been very positive. My favorite so far was the first person to see it. It was being unloaded from the delivery truck and a little kid rode by on his bike headed to school, his mouth hung open and he said wow in a soft voice. It seemed totally involuntary and made me smile.
