I don't think they totally blew it. They offered more than one package, something many on this board have been looking forward to on the CTR. They also made it very easy to tune right out of the gate. From what I hear, people are seeing over 420 WHP already on a stage 1 tune. It looks like sky's...
The fake carbon fiber is completely tacky. Get rid of it or replace it with something else. Cooled seats. Uncomfortable in the summer even with AC on. Honda sensing,
A lot of people say fugly when looking at the rear end of the CTR. To each their own I guess. You gotta give it to the GM guys for breaking the Corvette mold. First Vette ever to offer a version with no manual option as well as going with a mid-engine build, the supercar route.
We have frost heaves some places up here in NH all year round the size of a VW bug. Went through a set of rims and tires on my right side on the CTR and mangled the front lip. Glad it was fake carbon fiber.......
I also said goodbye to mine. I miss it too. The car is not for everyone. I realized it after the fact. Bad roads up here in the Northeast, even if it's not winter. Enjoy the Ridgeline though. The Unibody ride is hard to beat, much more comfortable than any "real' truck.
Listen, I don't want to get into a pissing match with you, too old for that. I loved the Type R. As does every body else on here that is proud of their vehicle. I simply was stating what I traded my Type R in for, and the reasons why. I'm in the Northeast, wanted AWD, and something thrilling. I...
Before purchasing I did some research through an engineer buddy of mine. The block and drive train in his opinion are overengineered. The block can handle 1000 HP + safely. Once you get going, the Quattro system defaults to a more rear-biased torque split program for better power delivery when...
Changed the fluid to Amsoil Synchromesh. I had the 4th gear lockout too, that seemed to diminish a little bit. Yet still, shifting during a spirited drive was never enjoyable. Sorry to be edgy, when I go back and think of the challenges I had with that tranny, I just wasn't expecting that to...
My CTR unfortunately was one of the ones with the transmission/clutch issues with notchy shifting and 2nd gear crunch. A known issue stated on this forum. Another reason why I dumped it. More than happy with seamless shifts after the challenges I went through with the CTR. Funny how you're...
33k with 14k on the odometer. Purchased a 2017 Audi RS-3. Loved the CTR, but realized I'm better off with AWD for here in the Northeast. Plus, with a simple tune and a few other add-ons, you're in Supercar Territory performance wise with the RS-3. Mine is Tango Red with an Armytrix exhaust...
I feel for you guys. I had a 2017 and recently sold it for an RS3. Every time I shifted, I was always worried about a grind, mis-shift etc. Going from 1-2 was always notchy, locked out of 4th from time to time and reverse was never easy. Had 14k on it when I sold it. At about 10k I went to the...
See his original need list....The Ridgeline has several accessories available for his exact requirements.Camping, you can get a tent accessory that fits in the bed. Kayaking...you can get a Kayak attachment. Go check out the Ridgeline accessory options. Nothing else comes close.
You have to test drive the Ridgeline in order to make any comments or criticisms about it. Because it's a Unibody, the ride completely outperforms any of the competition. 280HP and gets up to 26MPG. Trunk in the bed and voted safest midsize truck. I agree, looks aren't for everyone, but if you...
I bought mine before the 19's came out, Maybe they changed the part #.Mine is 31-10277 and underneath is states Honda Civic Type R 17-18. Google 31-10277 and let me know what you come up with.
I did exactly that...Bought a pre-owned RS-3. I loved the driving experience the CTR had to offer, but just couldn't enjoy the car fully due to heat shield sounds, notchy shifting, noises from the plastic on the A-pillar, and clutch issues like mentioned here. I really hope Honda addresses all...
Yeah, I enjoy swinging the back end over too. Like riding my old YZ250. No disrespect, but the feel of driving a BMW is just so rigid and bumpy, you feel like you're not even on the pavement. Hope you were able to test drive it before you bought it.
