I'm glad the back surface of this unit is flat, similar to my 2019 OEM's. The Optix one I got (I'm guessing) uses some other style housing and it's suuuuper tight fit to try to install it without taking off the front bumper for access.
You can't really paint these types of plastic... and it's not really cost effective to paint. Visit a collision repair place and i'm sure they'll quote you 120% more than what these things cost.

Sup, Ryan. So far no specific meets of just Type R here. Big groups are in Austin/Houston area. Are you on Facebook? Some guys are wanting to plan a statewide meet this month, people are voting the exact city.
As far as me, I go to Cars and Coffee Southlake. Maybe visiting Cars and Cantina...
Not today, but whatever. Got the roof wrapped (finally). STEK Black PPF on the roof and flat part of hatch door. Black vinyl on the 3D parts (vortex gens, the little ears, etc.) The reflection on the black PPF is so much more like paint that it almost seems worth it.
I was also able to somehow engage with an online dealer as well and got a bit of footing in terms of acquiring one. www.typerstore.com. I mentioned that I'm interested in the Nur Spec VSR with the red middle tip. The one with red tip is apparently a Nur Spec Custom Ed VSR. Currently...
I have this, but haven't install yet. Thinking abut putting a red strip tape on it before putting it on. What do you wanna know?
Oooh, what's the part number on this?
I think watching the old video of theirs during TAS in January this year, they were gonna sell the red as a replaceable tip. Sucks that they won't just make it part of the options rather than buying one separately.
It's out? Dear god. Now waiting for ANY US distributors to pick these up. I wonder if they'll charge more on top...
What are these at the bottom? Anyone speak Japanese?
Accelerometer-based 3rd brake light flasher prototype. Will try to post the car moving and braking this weekend. The 'taps' I'm doing underneath the light is to shake the accelerometer module.
