I noticed what looks like grease in the passenger front wheel well. It also looks like the inside of that tire (right side in the picture) is wearing faster than the rest of the tire. I’ve had some “rut rut” and “ringing/roaring” sounds while driving recently. Any ideas? I’ve attached some pictures.
I had my AC condenser replaced a couple of days ago. When I got home, I opened the hood just to check it out and noticed that the valve caps for the AC lines appear to be missing? I've tried looking at parts diagrams online to confirm but can someone here confirm before I call the dealer?
I received the letter for my hatchback a couple of weeks ago. I had mine at the dealer today for a state inspection and they discovered the leaking condenser on their own. My A/C was recharged 2 years ago and they claimed there were no leaks. This summer, the AC kind of works on cooler days, but...
Yes, the CVT fluid was changed about 5 months ago around 40,000 miles. I didn't notice any difference after.
Lately, the clunking feeling seems to be worse when I'm making a turn and then "smooths out" a little as I straighten the wheels.
Would a failing axle also cause a constant roaring/humming sound that gets louder as the car's speed increases? It sounds like tire noise, but it is exactly the same with my summer and snow tires, which are mounted on different wheels.
I've also noticed sometimes when I do a more aggressive pull (4,000 to 4,500 RPM) it feels like something in the front end is occasionally "skipping or slipping." It doesn't feel like the CVT itself, but something else. My issues are worse in colder weather and seem to improve when temps rise...
What could cause a metal on metal "consistent, rotating, knocking" feeling that can be felt through the floor by the pedals? It's not like something is physically hitting the underside of the car, but I can feel it through the floor. It gets worse immediately after I make a turn while also...
My dealer told me it is "normal axle click-clack" I've given up trying to get my issue resolved. Whatever part is making the noise will eventually completely fail or fall off of the car, I guess.
Yes!! I've been dealing with the very same issue since my 2017 Hatchback was new. I've gone to multiple dealers, contacted American Honda and made several videos (and threads on here) about it. I finally got the axle shaft bearing replaced last Spring and it seems to have made the sound a little...
The passenger side axle shaft bearing was replaced about a month ago. Although the front end seems to be "less chatty" I won't know for sure if the sound is gone until this Fall when the temps drop.
I had one dealership try to sell me a "15,000 mile service" for $480 instead of my requested B1. I had another dealership tell me I was overdue for my "30,000 mile service" which they quoted at $459. Obviously, I declined both because of the, you know, maintenance minder system.
I called the...
Dealership went ahead and replaced mine. They went out of their way to say that grease seepage is normal because this bearing doesn't have a boot covering it and it spins around with the axle which flings the grease out...
After the dealership wouldn't look at my axle shaft bearing, only stating they "couldn't reproduce a problem" I went to American Honda. After showing Honda my pictures and videos, the rep said they were useless because Honda can't "verify the pictures and videos are from my car."
I'm speechless...
