  1. Civic Type R FK8 Engine Oil Analysis Tracking

2200 miles total, this oil change only had 400 or so miles on it. Most of them track miles. Basically only road miles are getting to and from the track. Car has 6 track days total, I think 2 on that oil change. I get the oil changed every 2 track days usually. No oil cooler yet.
  2. What did you do to your Type R today?

So true dude. My first car was a 240sx and I always thought the term "heel toe" was weird because it was more like I was using my toes on the brake and the side of my foot to blip the throttle. Then I got the CTR. It's like literally heel and toe. The pedals are so far apart.
  3. What did you do to your Type R today?

Then I say just practice and adapt your driving style to suit the rev hang. It sounds like you're already getting used to it from your earlier posts. Enjoy the car!
  4. What did you do to your Type R today?

Turn rev match off. Believe it or not rev match has a noticeable affect on upshifts as well, causing a good bit of rev hang. I've noticed that with rev match OFF the rpm's drop significantly faster. That might suit your driving style better, although you'd have to learn how to heel-toe for...
  5. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

Man, I really need to do this tunerview thing. Is it a simple enough process? I really like that min/max feature.
  6. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

Hey bro, just flashed the file you gave me and all is good so far. 2 cranks with no p560. It has been intermittent before so if I get through another 5 cranks and no code I'll say that will be solved! Another question though, I realized that the file I sent you to modify was the "dampened low...
  7. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

Yes! I'm actually going to load it up this weekend and test it out. The year's end was very busy for us so it sort of got pushed to the back burner. I will load it up this weekend and email you with the results. Thank you again for working on that for me. I know it has been a while.
  8. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

All my track days have been on stage 1 tune with downpipe. No issues at all other than the stupid P0560 code that I can't make go away. Not the best representative of my lap times, this was my first ever dry session at RA so forgive the lap time. Come march 8 I'm hoping to get to 1:40.
  9. Please list what exhaust you have, and your experience with it.

For anyone wondering I'm currently on the stock exhaust (muffler delete) with USR catless downpipe. I absolutely love the sound and growl. The volume is perfect too. You can hear the car and it sounds aggressive, but it's not loud as hell. Does anyone know of an aftermarket exhaust that is...
  10. Took delivery of my Crystal Black 2018 CTR

Yes the PPF will swirl just as easily as the paint....... But park the car out in the sun for 10 or so minutes and all the swirls are gone. The material heals itself.
  11. Took delivery of my Crystal Black 2018 CTR

No when you apply PPF the ceramic needs to be buffed off those areas unfortunately. But a plus is that the paint under the PPF should be swirl free after that.
  12. Took delivery of my Crystal Black 2018 CTR

It's not hard, it's impossible. The paint will swirl literally if you touch it with ANYTHING. And I have mine ceramic coated with the hardest coating you can get. I take EXTREME care in washing, foam cannon, only touch the paint with the highest end microfibers and such......and it still...
  13. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

I ended up with just another OE type R battery. The Honda place actually warrantied the battery for me so I didn’t have to pay anything out of pocket.
  14. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

I will definitely get it checked out. But to reiterate, it's only during cranking that it throws the code. It has never thrown the code during driving.
  15. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

Not sure if you're implying that anything USR is causing this or not, but I can assure you it isn't. I was on the USR downpipe with zero issues for quite a while before this code popped up. I never once got a CEL when I just had the USR downpipe. Their stuff is quality and so is the work.
  16. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

Yeah I am definitely going to get it checked out, it just happens like every other time I start the car. Then I have to shut it down, clear the code, then crank it again. Obviously on track days that is VERY annoying to have to do when I start the car on pit road. I'd just let the code ride out...
  17. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

Have not yet. No other mods. Only mishi catch can, Ktuner, and USR downpipe. I plan to take it in after this track season is over. Probably early December.
  18. KTuner Extended Testing And Tune Results

Can you please code in a function for the car to ignore code P0560? "low voltage to ECU" I keep getting this, repeatedly, and I don't know why. Car cranks and drives just fine. I'd really love if the unit could just tell the computer to ignore that code.
