this is a giant clue. Do you have both of your key fobs or does one happen to be lost? there is different behavior if one key is outside the car and the other inside.
I think the little button on the door handle is to *lock* the car, not to unlock. Proximity of the fob is what allows it to...
great! too bad you guys cannot pay yourselves $100 per hour for this diagnosis.

it is curious that the dealer tech. couldn't find a drain but I guess that means it is intermittent. sorry to...
great news!
clamp meters are a little more challenged with respect to accuracy but maybe this will not matter if you are noticing big differences. I do most of my testing with in-line meters but also have experience with current clamps and probes here at work. I guess another way to state this...
The U bolt is too wide or has too much curve at the point where it is pushing down. You are not pushing hard enough but that doesn't matter because with that curve on there I don't think it is going to go down far enough. Also the curve is going to make it slip so maybe turning it sideways...
sorry this is hard, I didn't have tons of trouble but maybe it's because I have done this lots of times. I'm not super strong or anything. The place to push.. straight down is at the tip of where the red arrow is pointed (if memory serves correctly). Also, pushing on the blue will push the...
I have pulled and replaced this battery on my own car. It is a little tricky to get the battery in without folding the insulation or without having it stick out the top.
the insulation is functional. it would be within reason to ask the dealer to install the insulation correctly.
I don't...
thank goodness, and it is too bad the bar is so low for dealers.
Have you asked them if they installed any non-stock items (GPS tracker, etc.) Someone mentioned above this has been done - I guess to secure the financing?
Maybe you don't want to ask directly- it is an uncomfortable question but...
update, this about 1 hour after the first pictures, with the car 'locked' via manually shutting the hood latch instead of closing the actual hood - and locking the car.
under 15mA which is very good. If you rely on the battery for about 20 A-hr of capacity then this would give 55 days of life...
This is showing where I pushed to get the latch to start moving...
and the position when it is closed - the photo is from a different angle
and I did a current reading after I did this - .559A (559 mA) which is quite high and probably not what it will be over the long haul. I guess I...
it is not normal to have the battery drain so fast. Since you have a meter you should also check the voltage when the car is on to make sure the alternator is charging it.
You can close the hood latch with a flat blade screwdriver or similar instrument but it is not easy. There is a sheet...
Final results.
There is no problem with fitting the battery after changing the big metal weldment but it is quite a job to splice the harness. I didn't do the most perfect job but an advantage is that the cable can be secured to this bracket that crosses the battery.
this is 31521-TGH-A0
it does not have holes it has features molded in that I assume mate into the steel structure that it sits on.
if there is nothing on top of the tray that can corrode my opinion would be to leave it alone and not put a hole in it.
NOTE: I own a Touring so the part below...
Documenting my attempt at buying stock Honda parts from Type-R or other 10th gen models with the larger H5 battery. My original battery is nearing 5 years old and I'd like to upsize for the replacement.
I welcome any input.
The mounting points for the larger battery are different so it is not...
I don't know the answer to your question, sorry.
the head unit already in your car supports Car Play? do you use that? is the only 'upgrade' you are getting then is to add GPS navigation as native?
if so, my opinion is not to bother because the maps only update for 5 years and in my experience...
no, we have 4GB or maybe 5GB. of course somewhere there is a plan for 'unlimited' but the price will always be different. it's a bit off topic but it is also related to why in-built GPS can be better in some situations. for local trips I would do a trick to save a region of a map into my phone...
I went around the site many times and tried to choose a purchase option. also I went a few messages back and forth with Garmin support and they just said they would take my .xml file and this would help them notify me when there is a product available.
I guess the only trouble with using the...
