  1. What makes the LE worth the extra money?

The LE for the Canadian market has even fewer differences from the regular model. It comes with rear wipers, rear heating duct, and rear cargo cover. Makes me wonder if they’ve actually removed any sound deadening material ? For me, the reason for getting the LE is mainly the exclusivity, and...
  2. 2021 Civic Type R LE Transit and Dealer spreadsheet

Mine has near 3000km (1800miles) on the clock ;)
  3. How much do you think a used 2017 or 2018 Type R should go for (CAD)?

I traded in my 2017 with 19,xxx km and the dealer posted it at $35k for one day, and it was sold. This was in February this year.
  4. 2021 Civic Type R LE Transit and Dealer spreadsheet

Same here, I’ve been driving mine daily since pick up in February. It’s approaching 3000km now.
  5. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

Now after some digging, I stand corrected. I always assume the LED headlights are the same across Touring and Type R and that’s not the case. However the brightness of the headlights on the new car was obvious for me, pretty sure it wasn’t a placebo effect. The only possible explanation I...
  6. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

having the same part number doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re the same. It could simply mean that the new design supersedes the old one...
  7. 2018 vs 2021 Type R Impressions

I traded my 2017 for a 2021 LE. As soon as I drove it off the lot, the engine felt smoother. I was expecting a harsher ride because it’s a LE, but surprisingly I found the ride to be slightly more comfortable, maybe it’s the higher sampling rate on the shocks. The headlights were a lot better...
  8. CarPlay issues

I concur. I’ve deleted the pairing and haven’t had a problem for 2 days
  9. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

That LE doesn’t look too bad. But here’s mine. CAN-021
  10. CarPlay issues

I have the same issue in the past 2 days on my 1.5-week old LE. Never had any issue on my 2017. I couldn’t even reboot my head unit this morning. (Press and hold power button, wait for the reboot menu to pop up, press reboot, nothing happen). Will try to remove Bluetooth from my phone to see...
  11. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

When i bought my 2017 CW, i truly believed I would keep it for 10+ years as a summer car. But then I ordered the LE and was planning to keep the 2017 as a daily. Fast forward a few more months, I got a new job opportunity and had to move province. With the new living arrangement, I cannot keep...

I was supposed to pick mine up on Saturday, but due to the snow, it’s going to get delayed till tomorrow. Badge # CAN-021
  15. Who scored a Phoenix Yellow CTR Limited Edition?

That’s not what I’m saying... the first year when I got my CTR, they had shipment in July, Sep, then in the spring the next year. Just saying Honda could schedule their production and shipment for cold whether regions to avoid putting stresses to the tires.
  16. Who scored a Phoenix Yellow CTR Limited Edition?

I’m actually surprised Honda is shipping Type R’s in the winter months in Canada. Both the stock Conti’s and the LE’s Cup 2’s are not recommended to be driven/rolled below -7C and -10C, respectively. Here’s an excerpt from the Michelin’s website: CAUTION ! • If not used for a prolonged period...

Same here. My dealer told me it was supposed to be Jan delivery, but due to delay at the port, the estimated delivery is going to be February.
