  1. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

The practicality of SI is really phenomenal. I'm not familiar with the coupe, but the sedan version has the best cabin storage space and ample room for 5 adults. It's incredible how Honda engineers are able to make such a practical car this fun-to-drive and this light (around 2900 pounds).
  2. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

There are two cupholders behind the shifter, which are also removable like the SI, thought no armrest or huge center storage space whatsoever. I couldn't appreciate your support more! I also love to hear all these different but respectful opinions and comments. This is what makes this civicx...
  3. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

Thank you for your support! Here's the spartan interior: it is worse in almost every aspect compared to the SI. The build quality is not good, and the "touchscreen" infotainment is a nightmare LOL. At least everything is funtional, and the driving interface is very good.
  4. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

Yes I agree with you. I guess trade-in is always a bad thing on the value proposition, coz the dealerships have to make benefits on every car on their lots. It will save some money if I sell my car to a private party, but that would be more of a hassle. Actually the appraisal for my SI and the...
  5. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Vehicle: 2017 Civic Si Total tuned time: 20 months Total tuned mileage: 18k miles Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner V1.2 Tunes used: Si Ktuner Basemaps, factory normal / 23psi sport mode Additional powertrian mods: clutch delay valve delete Problems/issues: Zero issue!
  6. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

Thank you for the support. Totally agree! I think SI is already a wonderful package for what it is, which is a super fun and practical hot-hatch(sedan). The BRZ is just a whole new adventure and I believe it is what I need at the age of 26.
  7. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

Thank you! Yes, selling a 3-year-old car is hardly a good move in terms of the value, but the BRZ experience is just really tempting for me. On the other hand, I believe they are marking high for my SI, whose real value should be around 19k.
  8. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

Yes I can totally relate. I guess the BRZ can make me a better driver and that is what I value the most currently. Maybe after getting beaten up by the choppy ride and loud noises of the BRZ for some years, I'll get back to a 12th Gen civic LoL.
  9. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

I think it was 25595 MSRP for the BRZ then, but BRZs hold there value really well. When trading a car you always lose the tax& fees part of mony. The initial apprisal for my SI was 17k, and then we bumped that number to 18.3k to account for the tax& fees. I think it's reasonable.
  10. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

So sorry to hear that! Hope you are enjoying the SI now~ For the Ktuner: Yes! I just posted it on the marketplace for $330. https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/ktuner-v1-2-for-sale.54153/

  12. Traded my 17 SI for a 14 BRZ (driving comparision & K-tuner unit for sell)

Hello guys! Last week I traded My 17 SI for a 14 BRZ base, with ZERO dollar difference. The BRZ had 65k miles, and was marked at $16900. My SI had 41k miles. I'd say it's a good deal and the SI holds its value wonderfully. The dealer is selling my SI for $20500 on their website right now. It's...
  13. Can’t shift smoothly after 1 year

I also had hesitated for a year before pulling the trigger. There are two main reasons why I eventually did it: 1. When the car is cold in winter, I contantly grind gears at 1-2 shift, sometimes 2-3, even though I was doing everything right, shifting smooth and slow and keeping RPM before...
  14. Can’t shift smoothly after 1 year

Thanks for reminding! I am fully aware of these risk but still decide to do it. I did it not to dump the clutch and chirp the tires, but to make the car smoother to drive. After the mod, the shock I feel when shifting is much less than before, which also should mean less shock and wear to the...
  15. Clutch Delay Valve Delete/ PRL SS Clutch Line Install & Review

I didn't want to work on my car outside in Michigan winter, so I went to a shop to get the cdv removed for 75$. The clutch feels waaaaay better. Much easier to modulate, no more 2nd and 3nd gear grind when cold, and much smoother and quicker shift. The rev hang becomes less a problem after...
  16. Can’t shift smoothly after 1 year

After deleting my clutch delay valve, I can shift a lot smoother and quicker. The clutch is much easier to modulate and the jerk I sometimes got before doing 1-2 and 2-3 is no longer there.
  17. FS- Si slave master cylinder

Thank you, that's not bad at all.
  18. FS- Si slave master cylinder

May I ask how much did it cost to let your shop remove the CDV?
  19. Sensor locations

Thank you! Is there anyway to see the oil temperature directly/indirectly of our car using tunerview? I heard there's no oil temp sensor for civicX.
  20. Front Endlinks.... Possibly causing clunking?

Do your hear the noise when going throught road imperfections or bumps? If so, you can try to brake when going over bumps and see if you can hear that any more. My car has been clunking from both front sides and they will disappear if I depress the brake pedal. I guess there's some play in the...
