Off the shelf Konis would be a significant downgrade from the OE Si shocks.
(this is not a negative statement about Koni, I've had their shocks on 4 of my cars)
Those are actually the L and R front part numbers not F and R. I have them on my car, happy so far. Nobody seems to have rears yet. I figured out another solution that seems to work well but donāt really want to encourage others to go down that route until Iāve run these a while longer.
I donāt know if anyone in Ohio running one, Will Teller is probably closer than me (heās in VA), same for Russell Blume (KS). Peter Ling doesnāt have his anymore and Matt Morhardt is in Austin, further away than me. Depending on time frame and how long they need the car I might be up for a road...
The thing that sucks is Iād be interested in these for stock class autocross, but there arenāt really any stock dimension alternatives, at least for the fronts anyhow.
Thereās also a mythical bilstein sport option out there but havenāt seen evidence that it actually exists, just numbers in...
My car was good enough for 3 trophies at Nationals and several Prosolo/Champ Tour wins/trophies with the stock stuff, probably best to not worry about it and drive.
I took last season off so Iām planning to use up my pile of old re71s and rivals for a while, and maybe try the Falkens later in the season if nats is going to happen and other people confirm they work well on concrete.
The power band of this car makes 3rd useful sometimes even if the ultimate speeds arenāt too much over 60, because a short shift still puts you right in the meat of the torque curve. Last year at national events I used 3rd at Finger Lakes, and through the finish at nats on whichever side it was...
For purely street use I think the CTR bar on the sport was perfect. I only went with the Karcepts for more tunability for autocross but the CTR bar is much easier to live with and makes the car as neutral as anyone needs for normal conditions.
All Civic and Accord rear bars should be interchnageable. I had a CTR bar on my Sport Hatch, swapped it out for a Karcepts and now the CTR bar is on my friend's EX sedan.
I agree, SGP is one of those super trendy colors that has only recently become popular over the last 20 years or so, and I bet some of those SGP owners are going to really regret their flavor-of-the-minute color choice by the mid 2030s or so.
