I fixed each and every one of mine with mp3tag by exporting the album art, shrinking it down to around 400 x 400 in MS Paint, then re-embedding it in mp3tag, replacing the original art. I think the system has trouble with hi-res album art.
I can definitely second this. I also primarily listen to purchased, locally-stored music, and the assistant had never had any trouble playing this stuff without a subscription. I also suspect Google "broke" this intentionally to force subscriptions, but I will not pay a subscription to play...
Huh, that's odd. I've seen that error before, but only when updating a Garmin Nuvi, which has an SD slot. Are you getting this error on your PC? I would probably just format the flash drive and start over. 16GB should be more than enough.
I'm a little over 42,000 miles on my Touring sedan. Bought it in December of 2015. Driving is still an absolute joy in this thing. The tires are still good. They may be starting to approach their end of life soon, but I might be able to squeeze another year out of them. The key fob battery died...
That certainly sounds odd to me. Mine only seems to do that on hills, and only if I'm using Econ. Without Econ, it manages to maintain a constant speed whether I'm on flat terrain or going over a mountain pass.
The issue on this thread topic was different, though. It was more of a constant...
I just had the same service done recently, and it came out to about $190. I opted out of the cabin air filter change, though, and did it myself. It's stupid-easy to change yourself, and only costs ~$15, vs the nearly $100 they want to charge to do it.
For me, the volume knob isn't that big of deal, really, but I would kill for some sort of scroll/enter knob. Not only is fumbling with a touchscreen to change music at 80mph distracting as hell, it's also frustrating if your passenger wants to pick the music, and keeps hitting the wrong button...
If I had to guess, I'd say you'd probably be without a map. Hopefully the Garmin interface would still be there, so you could go in and start the update over again.
Mine seem to work well most of the time. Occasionally they'll go into apeshit speed for no apparent reason, but this is rare. I've noticed if my wiper blades themselves are a bit dirty, they might leave some streaks over the sensor and run faster than I'd like, but after a few minutes of rain...
Weird. Did you try the USB port below the infotainment system? I think I recall some of the instructions saying to use the one below the cupholder, which is incorrect.
Weird, I use AA daily, and also with the LG G6 (excellent phone, btw), but I have not run into this issue. Just curious, do you happen to use a 3rd party USB cable? Sometimes a bad cable can cause issues. (I'm personally using an Anker 3ft USB-C cable, which seems pretty solid, so far.)
In my experience, the surging always came back after 600-1000 miles. Honda eventually came out with an update that permanently resolved it, though. I've gone over 10,000 miles since updating, and it's still as smooth as butter.
