  1. What did you pay?

That's an excellent price, probably among the lowest thus far for an ex. Good job and congrats on your new civic. How do you like it thus far? What made you decide on the ex rather than the turbo?
  2. Turbos

I have no idea whether the 1.5 turbos will be reliable long term but this is quite the "bet the farm" move that honda is making with all the higher end civics and you would imagine other models as well that will have eventually have turbo engines. If the turbos don't last, will honda have major...
  3. What did you pay?

Right, you should just mention the $4,560 discount includes your $3,000 trade in. Otherwise, people could take your comparable quote to a dealer and basically get laughed at
  4. What did you pay?

Good lord, all this discussion because someone forgot to mention they had a $3K trade-in. Don't you think that is an important fact that should have been disclosed? That's why everyone called BS on that "deal", I think most people here are knowledegable about what's possible and not possible...
  5. What did you pay?

Thanks Kyra for your response. Questionable because I have like 15 quotes right now including dealers in the boonies like riverside and they aren't even close to 18.5 for an ex, let alone an ex-t. Norm reeves irvine is usually one of the most expensive dealers. 18.5 would be 3,000 under Invoice...
  6. What did you pay?

Kyra, you sure 20.4 is otd for an ex-t? That sounds like the before tax price. I just got an ex quote from norm reeves honda for 19.4 before tax. And their ex-t quote was 20.5 before tax. That doesn't sound correct that they sold you an ex-t for about 18.5 before tax including destination fee
  7. 2016 EX-T weak A/C??

^^^^ This ^^^^ I wonder if there is something to this, that the 1.5L turbo engine has a harder time keeping up. Anybody with an EX 2.0 have AC problems?
  8. Possible to trade 2months old Ex for Ex-T?

What do you mean by this? The EX-T is cheaper on insurance? I would've thought it's the other way around since turbos are higher to insure. How much I insurance difference is there between an ex and ex-t?
  9. Seeing other 16's civics

I finally saw one in Orange county california today! A white 2016 civic touring. Man, it looked nice and sporty, everyone in my car was gawking at it, we made the civic driver think we were stalkers or something, lol. It's so new that it stands out when you see one. Will be interesting to see...
  10. My Self-Driving Car

Right, we've all driven fine for decades without sensing features. Was just wondering if it's distracting more than anything. The salesmen at my dealership all didn't like it and said don't go out of your way to buy it but if it comes standard like in a touring, that's fine. But if people enjoy...
  11. Any 2.0L owners wish they got the 1.5L Turbo?

From a driver experience perspective, is the 1.5L turbo engine the same as if honda would've put a larger, say 2.4L regular engine? Or does the turbo do something that a larger engine doesn't?
  12. My Self-Driving Car

Do these sensing features only work when you're in cruise control? Will lane keep assist, collision warning and braking work on local stop and go traffic? The adaptive cruise control obviously sounds like it's activated during cruise control. So besides being a cool toy and marketing item for...
  13. Buy car now end of year or wait

Agree with all the comments here, cars are depreciating assets. The longer you wait, the better deal you'll get. Just depends whether you can wait
  14. Compare to CRV

@HondaGeek Thank you so much for your insight, really appreciate having folks like you that work at Honda dealerships comment on this board. It gives us buyers a different perspective. I agree with everything you said. We have 2 kids so the "family" side of me says to get the CRV for more...
  15. Compare to CRV

Is anyone here a current or previous owner of a 2015 or 2016 CRV? On the fence between this 2016 civic or the crv. Small family so either size will work. I know the spec differences between each but curious about real world experiences from anyone that has had both and of course any...
  16. EX-T what is the best discount anyone has gotten?

@civicryan Do you mean $22589 otd or $22589 plus taxes/dmv? Maybe I'm using otd incorrectly but I was thinking otd meant the final price after taxes and everything. Which dealership was this in SoCal, was it Riverside? , I might get something similar so looking for a good price. Thank you
  17. Socal - Lowest Prices (Complete List)

Yep, I got a lot of the same high quotes from LA and OC dealers as well. The 2 quotes I mentioned were from riverside and spreen. However I have not gone in yet, was wondering if anyone has any experience with those dealers and corona. Are these bait and switch or are they good to do business with?
  18. Low Back issues with 16 Civic

I'm not referring to lumbar. I wanted to check if the passenger seat had a height adjustment since by default it's seated so low
  19. Any 2.0L owners wish they got the 1.5L Turbo?

Really going back and forth between getting the EX 2.0L or the EX 1.5T. Curious to hear from 2.0L owners whether they wish they would have gotten the Turbo instead? Any advice for prospective buyers? I'm leaning towards the 2.0L for long term lower maintenance but fear I may be missing out on...
  20. Low Back issues with 16 Civic

I know the driver's seat has either a manual pump (lower models) or the power adjustment (higher models). Coming from an Accord, I agree the low seats of the 2016 Civic were a little uncomfortable for me. But when I pumped it higher during test drive, that was back to my Accord level. Does...
