Its not that they don't care. They are a huge corporation. You will never get an admission of guilt or fault. The best you can hope for is a replacement under warranty and or a TSB some time down the road with a fix if they find one.
If you watch the video the guy posted earlier he explains...
Yeah the price of pretty much any aftermarket part right now is ludicrous. But with a small volume car its to be expected. I have a full catless Titainum Tomei exhaust on my skyline and it was $1040 shipped.
Basically the same engine yes. But the FK2 is a dual exhaust setup and the FK8 is single. Will make a difference in sound for sure. Also really depends on camera quality of the person recording the sound.
Sounds like another piece of evidence leaning towards improper clutch engagement/dis-engagement. My car should be here soon and the first thing im doing is draining the clutch fluid and replacing it with Motul RBF600. I still feel like its not an issue internally with the transmission.
Generally speaking. I have seen quite a few people get their VIN's and then get their car within a very short time. My co worker got his 5 days later and mines coming 6 days later.
My dealer doesnt seem to know what they are talking about. They got an update today with a "production" date of 12 October, but he said that its a shipping date. Only thing i can think is that its going to be on the ship that hits the US on 13 October next week.
My thoughts exactly. Just wanted to get us a video of the sound ASAP and final tip design is probably still being worked. Its my fav sound so far for the car.
I just don't see the justification for the cost being that high. If it was dual (more material = more cost), had electronic valve (more cost). Or was made from titanium then yeah over 1k wouldnt be bad. But i got a full Titanium Tomei exhaust and titanium test pipe for my R32 and it was under...
Huge improvement over stock. Can't wait to hear one in person or some high quality audio clips. I know a lot of people were itching for them to make an exhaust.
