Why would Honda release a hatch Si when a hatch CTR is coming? That's what doesn't make sense to me. It seems counterintuitive to release 2, very similar cars in the same form. That's like saying hey we're going to get a coupe version of the Type R. I doubt we will get a hatch version of the Si...
IMO the exhaust is going to serve 2 purposes. The Type R has a "Type R Mode" button, and correct me if I'm wrong, but this adjust the suspension and engine in a way that it makes it more sporty. So for daily use the center exhaust will be used. When you're feeling a bit on the wild side, you...
It will have the option, more than likely. This the first Si we have seen. It could be an option, it could come standard. My guess is that it will be an option. Maybe Honda will offer 2 trims of the Si model. One with the LED package with some other things in it and one without LED.
We have yet to receive any solid info on the Type R and the Si. The Type R could be completely different from the Si. We won't know for a while. Could come with AWD for all we know. Si will hold a sport title. Just because the Type R is finally coming to the US does not mean the Si doesn't hold...
The Si still holds a sport title, hence the Si. The Type R is going to be, more than likely, just in hatch version. The Si will be in the coupe and sedan. The Si will be more budget friendly, whereas the Type R will be 30k+. It will come with more features than the Si for sure, that's the point...
We have close to no information on the Type R except it will be above 30k, and have a tuned version of the Si engine, and even that is iffy. Sure it may have a few more features, but the Si will be more sporty than the Touring.
Exactly right. Engine is going to be better than the touring, suspension is going to be more sportier, and transmission is always butter smooth from Honda, but the Si 6 speed is incredible, this will be the same this year. If LED lights turn you away from Honda then you're better off somewhere...
Looks like they were wrong on that information. Besides, the Si has, and hopefully always will have, a manual transmission. Honda keeps to its roots in the Si and Type-R; 6 speed manual transmission is a must for both. I don't ever see them changing that.
As for the spoiler, in the pictures you...
It's about time we have some news for the Si. Been waiting to see! I really hope they do a sedan version, possibly even a hatch. Waiting for those interior pics now!
