I had crystal serum pro 7 year version applied for 1K. A month later i can say it was totally worth it. When you hit the car with the hose, the dirt just slides right off. I can clean the car in half the time with no rinse solution. And it looks better than it did when i got it from dealer.
PPF protects against rock scratches and chips. Cermic coatings are for water/chemical/dirt/uv resistance and will not protect against chips. Honestly its best to have ppf put on, then coating overtop.
If you care about the way it looks yes. Because that coating will not easily come off. The paint needs to be as perfect and clean as possible to receive a ceramic coating.
Brand new. I believe they did some type of prep work to get it ready for the application but not much. I know they washed, clay bar, and polished to some degree.
Just took my civic to a professional detailer to have Gtechniq crystal serum topped with exo water repellant applied. This coating supposedly offers incredible paint protection/water repellency/super gloss for many years. Im excited!
I called product relations and confirmed what dick w has said.
Honda says the dealer has to confirm that your problem exists before attempting the fix. Both of the dealer's I tried were unable to replicate this very specific problem so they would not apply the fix. She said she would document...
My dealership says they only see SB 16-001 for my car. They can't do anything until it 028 shows up. I guess I need to wait a few weeks since this one is so new??
Does anyone have any experience with the liner cleaner and protectant from weathertech?? My liners now look pretty gross and I want to clean them. Weathertech cleaner is expensive though. A cheaper alternative would be nice. Thanks.
I pulled the cable off this weekend and can confirm no surging and mpg is better now as well. I spend 40 miles on the highway every day and I used to get 36-37mpg now I am at 39-40.
Just returned from dealership. They could not recreate the surging issue on the road. It is not consistent for me either. I told them about the battery cable reset but they would not perform it without just cause or a bulletin or recall. Should I take it to another dealership? They plugged it up...
I just got mine and put the two front ones on. They were straightforward. How do you remove the clip on the bottom of the car for the rear guards?? Im not sure how to get up under the car and take it out. Is it a screw on the other side? Do I need a jack to be able to see it?? Thanks.
