  1. Should I sale my CTR? Honest opinions welcome...

Just to be frank here. If you have to debate about it, you will just come to regret it more later. Type-R is a great car, but if you don't track or drive too hard with it.. it is just a very uncomfortable, loud car.
  2. Used 2017 Civic Sis Already For Sale

Looks like Accord Sport is going to be close to 30k (but slightly more options.) That is a lot more money for the 2.0t engine.
  3. Interesting market update

You know the guy that bought it at invoice? Most likely a GM from that dealership.
  4. Family Honda Fiasco!

I don't blame you if you are now thinking about a RS, Golf, Sti.. etc. I know I would.
  5. Offical "Si Dealer Naughty List" thread

This segment is ultra competitive, as soon as the initial "can't wait to have it" group are done I can see it being offered at invoice.
  6. 2018 Civic Type R...possibilities?

That is a mix bag, I have paid a grand for transportation and they busted my tail light. It was a very old car so I didn't care much. I would personally fly to the destination and drive it, it is a new car. Why not.
  7. 2017 Civic Si on sale tomorrow, Saturday May 13! Starts at $23,900

Go through online quotes first, use online services such as trucar or carsdirect. I also got a great quote through Costco affiliated dealership which I was able to give to a local dealer and they matched immediately. It doesn't hurt to mass email all of the dealers around your area as well...
  8. 2017 Civic Hatchback vs 2017 Accord

Accord if you need to transport 4-5 people (family) constantly. If you just need to move 1-3 people, civic would be just fine. It is a tight fit getting 5 people into my civic, but with the accord it is pretty comfortable.
  9. Trading Honda Civic 2016 EX w HS for Honda Civic 2017 Touring, worth it?

Personally.. I don't think you bought the non turbo EX for performance reasons in the first place. I wouldn't give up the depreciation cost for 30 some more hp. To me it is an A to B destination car and it is perfect for that. I would consider a slightly used ILX or TSX (you can get them for...
  10. Honda Reveals 2017 Civic Si Coupe and Sedan (205 HP / 192 LB-FT)

To be frank they are really not that close in performance either.
  11. Mustang GT to Type R

Ferrari is a whole different beast altogether. Most people buy them for prestige reasons, and their marketing says so as well. These are exotics. Most people buy a LV purse to use them to show wealth, not because they use it to carry groceries.
  12. Civic Si - Let's do some math on that 192 lb-ft rating

As car enthusiasts we always like to think most people are into cars and is willing to buy performance oriented cars. But people don't. Most people if you ask them honestly, will not spend 40k on a Civic, but will spend 40k on a BMW. Because it is a BMW and they don't track or race but enjoy...
  13. Mustang GT to Type R

I don't disagree, but first it is illegal to push beyond a certain limit on public roads. If you drive in any sort of sane manner you are understating severely in what the type R can do. Second I don't doubt your driving skills, but for most drivers you will not be able to extract nearly the...
  14. Now that's it's Official any CIVICX feel regrets or trading theirs in for the Type R?

Will not be getting one, type-r is a track car and I barely go to the track these days. I am showing my age but it will be like any type-r, loud, uncomfortable and you need to squeeze every bit out of that engine to go fast. I know there is a lot of fascination in the US for the R because it...
  15. Mustang GT to Type R

If you don't track Type-R is pointless, not to mention the huge financial hit you will take on the trade in or just giving it up in general. Type-R is slower in quarter mile and the suspension is stiffer. Also you will probably not be able to find one that is not x dollars over msrp. Just...
  16. Civic Si 192 LB-FT Torque revealed by Honda email

Good luck on that resale value tho..
  17. Trading 2016 ex-t coupe for Sport Hatch?

Most of the time if the car is newish you are better off selling it yourself. Heck most of the time it is better if you sell it yourself, but obviously there is more work.
  18. Got rid of my touring coupe!

You can compare reliability to other brands and Honda is nearly at the top most of the time. Not sure what you mean by a cheap car, Civic by definition is a compact made for the masses. It is not a BMW and you should not pretend it to be. I can tell you that between the 9th and 10 gen Civic...
  19. Getting a perturbed...

I know R is the new hot thing but you can bet I am going to buy a Corvette if they are charging me 10k over msrp.
  20. Honda/Nissan disappointing with Si/Sentra NISMO?

I meant minimalist in design, as in small displacement engine, light weight and almost zero interior luxuries. Aggressiveness and looks are inherited from the base mode, not defined by the Si model. Civic Si wasn't the leader per se, it was one of the very few options at that time. Sports...
