  1. 2017 Civic Touring 20K Miles - Think My Car Will Be Declared a Total?

My 2016 Touring had less damage to it and they totaled it. If the repairs exceed 85% of the book value of the vehicle they will total it (at least this is Geico's policy). I am quite certain your vehicle is a total loss. Hope you are okay.
  2. SO - What's the single WORST feature of your Civicx?

I see numerous comments regarding the radio. If you have the CVT, turn off the car in neutral. The radio will remain on until you shift it into park.
  3. Honda civic 2019 sport sedan

Most thieves have the keys for these locks. It is really a waste of money.
  4. Glove box mods

Great car but it's ridiculous they never put a light or damper in the glove box. I test drove the 2019 Insight a few months ago and that glove box also lacks a damper. I forgot if it had a light though. DUMB
  5. Skid Plate Problems - 2017 EX-T

FYI...there are some numerous dealerships that sell this part online significantly less than your typical dealership. Many dealerships stock this part because people are constantly replacing them due to negligence. I screwed up mine by pulling up too close to a parking spot cement barrier.
  6. Which kind of fuel should I be using?

Have a 16 Touring. Always use regular 87 octane and get great mileage in suburban south Florida. Hi 30's low 40's. Used premium once and NO difference in MPG. Premium costs $0.75 more per gallon. Waste of money especially if not required.
  7. New battery already?!

Mine only lasted 2.5 years in the south Florida swamp.
  8. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Yup.... 2016 Civic Touring delivered Dec 2015. Changed battery June 2018. South Florida heat may have contributed to its early demise. Otherwise no other issues.
  9. Road noise

I agree. I once had these on a Prius (if you can imagine!). Pricey, but well worth it.
  10. Comma AI ...

I can't imagine a supplemental system adding significant changes to the current level of capabilities. Perhaps if there was a way to override the steering input requirement. That would be nice.
  11. Want to get a 2018 Civic Hatchback but terrified of the fuel dilution issues

I have what many may consider a higher mileage 16 Civic Touring. I have close to 43k miles and haven't had any engine issues at all. I change the oil per the computer (prob every 6k) and the car runs perfect. As others have said, get an extended warranty if you're concerned. BTW...You can...
  12. Replace original 2 year old battery as a precaution?

The battery on my 16 Touring lasted 2.5 years in the South Florida heat.
  13. Road noise

No significant road noise except from poor tires. Can anyone suggest the best quiet tire for this car?
  14. Got 3 tickets.

Every state is different. I am not familiar with IL, but whatever you do, plead NOT GUILTY. I would also hire an attorney. In Florida you can usually hire a traffic court attorney for around $150.
  15. Saw on FB, too good to be true?

You no make fun my engrish
  16. Changes in mileage with KTuner?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what happens if you run regular fuel with these tuners?
  17. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Those are beautiful! The contrast is quite striking. Now I need to get some!!
  18. Civic Rough Idle And Radio Software Update

I haven't had any issues with idle lumpiness. Mine is a 16 Touring. That would annoy the heck out of me. As to the radio, I have had one update but I should check to see what firmware I'm running. Thanks for the information.
  19. 2018 SLOW-MOVING ACCORDS

Exactly. My dad used to have a 2011 Sonta (now a 2016) and the resemblance is uncanny. That's probably why they aren't selling too well.
  20. Slow throttle response?

The reason S feels more responsive is because it keep the RPMs a bit higher while driving. This allows for better acceleration and response when pressing the accelerator. From a standstill, S really does not offer any benefits over D from as far as I can tell.
