I had the same issue - it's the intercooler piping unfortunately, so we're out of luck for getting more space in there. I had to put one horn on each side since I couldn't get both in the stock location.
Keep in mind since the intercooler piping appears to be hard plastic, the metal horn has...
Of course now that I already installed my Slammer (the best knob I've EVER seen btw) and made it work with the Acuity collar, Raceseng comes out with this! Ahhhh
What made the install so hard? Really like the lip. Normal lips are super easy to install just screwing in from the bottom... does this one have special hardware or something?
I spent the cash for the custom piece from Eric Lehr - it's really nice! But before, I used $4 of gloss carbon vinyl wrap and it looked pretty decent too.
Before - super cheap! https://www.amazon.com/VViViD-Carbon-printed-realistic-carbon/dp/B00MJ7U0FC

Out of all the great tips already posted above, I think rev matching is the one most overlooked and important. Especially when, say, you're in neutral or a high gear and then you want to put it in 2nd or 3rd. Finding the right RPM to "blip" the throttle to match will make your shift much, much...
Also did a Hella horn install. I don't recommend it, was a pain and required some modification, but looks cool now that you can see them behind the vents if you look close.
Easiest way is probably gonna be use the Add-a-fuse that comes with the kit, and use the fuse box in the engine bay. Then you don't have to worry about getting wires to run from your interior to the underside of the car.
A guy near me did this on his CTR and it's clean. The only thing I don't...
Coming from a 2019 STI here... visibility is definitely a little better in the Subaru, but not so much that I'd even say I noticed it. The STI and an Si sedan are about equal IMO... the coupe you just always lose because of the tiny back windows. Can't really compare the coupe to a 4 door. :(
Yeah that's definitely the only good way. Problem is finding an LX owner who's down to do it... would have to start going up to moms at the grocery store with their fully stock Civics and hitting them up for a trunk swap :rofl:
Notes from yesterday's Acuity shifter bushing install!
1. They actually make a difference! I'm surprised my shifts feel cleaner and more precise even though I already had the full Acuity shifter installed too.
2. Don't drop the little metal clips! Ugh. This should've been a 20 minute install...
Ugh sorry, that totally sucks. After having my Si for 5 months I just realized last week (first rain) that the backup cameras on these Civics are useless in the rain.
