Naaah, the oil was filled November last year. It was clean inside until last/this month. I observe oil levels every week so know what is going on under the hood.

Should I be worried? Oil level seems fine.

I certainly am, my friend. The car is running strong and no problems whatsoever. I am slowly thinking about stocking the new reformulation for my future oil change, however majority of stock in Europe is still the old stuff - not the reformulated SS.

Anyone started using the new, September 2017 Amsoil SS reformulation (the ones with label saying 75% better protection)? Any feedback? I presume one will not be able to tell any difference in comparison to the previous version.

Thanks mate. I don’t think amsoil updated their signature series page with this info, nor I see the fact sheet updated with oil properties? Is the pancaking different? How do I recognize if the amsoil I am buying is the new formula or old one? I am interested in 0w-30 SS.

Works out around 8 litres per 100 km with my driving style, 25% city rest highway with spirited driving.

Oil brand has nothing to do with oil dilution - if engine dilutes oil it will do that no matter what you poured in. Engine oil often gets diluted if one is driving like a pussy :p Other than that, fuel quality, short trips, engine lugging. Just saying... :)

Seems that oil quality does not make any difference. Oil minder is tuned for the factory oil and it has no way of figuring out, that you poured full synthetic instead.

Damn you Americans and your cheap "25 bucks to fill her up" fuel... :P I had to pay 60 dollars to fill mine this Sunday :(
