  1. LogR Performance Data Recorder App launched for 2020 Civic Type R

So I guess the 2020 CTR has an oil temperature sensor now? can't wait for detailed change list.
  2. Cold weather wheels, OZ Hyper GT HLT.

The wheels are great, have no complaints. The 47mm offset is ideal, I really don't feel any torque steer or anything. All the brakes look good, no problem with clearance. Finish on the wheels is still great, I wash the car every couple of weeks and put "Beadmaker" on the wheels to keep them...
  3. The Infamous 2nd Gear Crunch

So I got the measurements from honda website https://techinfo.honda.com. That website was a mess to look through, just gotta go through each section and see what applies to your car. If something is specific to Type R, it says so and has a separate manual for it. The CMC measurements didn't have...
  4. 2019 Type-R track review

On the 4th to 5th gear change, try putting a slightly taller shift knob, like the one that honda offers with the leather wrap.
  5. Driving Shoes Anyone?

Got a pair of cheap sneakers of Amazon for work, surprisingly they have really good feel when driving my R.
  6. Amsoil Synchromesh vs. Amsoil 75w-90 MTF

I went to my local Honda dealer and told them to change transmission fluid to Amsoil that I bought, they had no problem with it. When I asked them if I'm voiding my transmission warranty, they basically said if my transmission breaks due to the fluid then warranty fix is off the table. So far...
  7. 2nd gear lock out?

first thing first, drain the transmission fluid and fill it up with brand new Honda MTF, it could be underfilled or bad fluid from factory. Honda fluid is kind of thin so if you want to go with something a bit thicker, try Amsoil. If none of this helps then definitely need to check more...
  8. 2- 2019 Ctr in stock for msrp

I got my Type R from Hamilton Honda also, MSRP + $500 worth of accessories (lugs and all weather mats), good dealer, the sale went really smooth. At the beginning the car was marked up to $47k, that's like 1 month after initial release date, but as soon as they had another one in route, they...
  9. 2019 Honda Civic Type R picks up new...

Is that a heated seats button? nice. Honestly I can live without heated seats, but cooled for hot summer days, that would be sweet.
  10. Type r Tranny issues still?

My 1-2 gear change is definitely notchy and require me to do that gear change slower in higher rpm, around 2.2k rpm it's pretty smooth and I can be kinda quick. 1st gear lockout, happens only if i'm slightly still rolling and try to put it in 1st without bliping the rpms a little in neutral...
  11. Experience with All Seasons tires?

Last winter I lost control on Mich. Pilot Sport A/S 3+. It was a snow packed road, no blacktop visible, I was going around 40mph into a long slight downhill turn, as I was turning I felt like the car started to go straight, almost like hydro planing, I recovered quickly and never went out of...
  12. Clutch fluid / brake fluid reservoir

There's a fill bolt, drain bolt and oil level check bolt. To access the fill bolt you need to remove your airbox and the rest are underneath. Make sure your car is leveled when checking/filling fluid or just drain into a measuring container and fill up with the same amount.
  13. Type r Tranny issues still?

For me it was a big difference in smooth driving, it felt like I could time my clutch release better and feels like the biting point is always at the same spot, you will definitely feel it driving back to back with the delay valve. You can always just get a new Slave Cylinder and remove the CDV...
  14. Type r Tranny issues still?

Honestly that annoying delay valve in SC should be removed no matter what, my car feels so much better without it, highly recommend it.
  15. Type r Tranny issues still?

hey can you try adjusting clutch pedal freeplay, just in case it wasn't set right from factory.
  16. Clutch pedal clicking?

When doing the CDV and bleeding my clutch I noticed same thing, a faint click somewhere midway pedal travel, only when letting out the clutch pedal, I've checked everything and it was clutch sensor that prevents your from starting the car without clutch being depressed. The clutch pedal has a...
  17. Motul Gear 300 & E-Man Modified CMC

I didn't replace my cmc but I removed clutch delay valve from slave cylinder, haven't had a lockout in a while, it seems like if you blip the throttle first and then move shifter from 5th to 4th, it goes in a little easier. Never had a grind before, but I try not to shift fast and in high rpm...
  18. Motul Gear 300 & E-Man Modified CMC

I did the CDV delete in my slave cylinder, best mod I ever did. I'm a lot smoother when going from 1st to 2nd gear and rest of the gears are butter when releasing the clutch. It's like it engages at exactly the same spot all the time and I feel like I have a better control. Shifter still feels...
  19. CTR Clutch Delay Valve Removal

Ok so I finally removed the Clutch Delay Valve on my type R and HOLLY SHIT BALLS it feels good, I'm so glad I did it and I wish I would have done it before. So Type R is the car that I learned to drive manual in, every time I drive it my goal was to get smooth shifts, rev match system helps a...
