  1. Flat towing

Does anyone know the technical reasons why this generation of Civicā€™s with a manual transmitter cannot be towed behind a motor home with all four wheels on the ground? I know the manual says not to do it. When I check other Hondaā€™s, such as the new Accord, the manual says they can be.
  2. Should splash guards be required?

Mine is a coupe as well. The clip on the bottom just isnā€™t in the right spot. Iā€™ll try your suggestion.
  3. Should splash guards be required?

Want to come do mine? I tried to install them today but got stuck on the first one, the driverā€™s side rear. I guess I need to take the wheel off :(
  4. Why isn’t the coupe popular

I had a ā€˜17 HB and traded for a ā€˜17 coupe. I disliked having to rent a truck to get a large box, and the dogs arenā€™t as comfy in the back, but Iā€™m much happier overall. My wife likes it more, as well.
  5. Steering wheel lock

Iā€™ve considered installing a battery disconnect but that would require opening the hood after its on the dolly.
  6. Steering wheel lock

i want to tow my ā€˜17 coupe 6-speed with a tow dolly behind my motor home. There are two types of dollies, and Iā€™d prefer the type that does not have a moving pan for the front wheels. This fixed-type requires the steering wheel to be unlocked so the front tires can move in corners. I have...
  7. Tricky Shifter - new 2018 Civic Manual

I had a new ā€˜17 EX CVT for a year and 8k miles then traded for a certified ā€˜17 EX-T manual 8 months ago with 900 miles on it; it has 3,300 on it now. I am in Denver and there are times where the shifting seems notchier than others. Iā€™ll try and pay attention to the temperature when I notice it...
  8. Inside of windshield gets filmy

Hopefully it will end soon. My car is a certified used, first sold in mid-2017. It was driven 900 miles by the dealership then put up for sale. I bought in in March ā€˜18. I may try replacing the cabin filter to see if there is any residue on it.
  9. Inside of windshield gets filmy

My ā€˜17 EX-T coupe, with 2,600 miles on it, has a greasy film on the windshield that quickly returns after I clean it. I am a non-smoker and only drive the car around town. I have tried several different window cleaning fluids and it always looks good when itā€™s done. A few days later and itā€™s...
  10. What’s your other car or toy??

    Does this count?
  11. My Dilemma!!!!!

I went from a new ā€˜17 HB to a certified ā€˜17 EX-T coupe. I loved the hatch but wished that I had bought a manual from day one. Also, the rear end of the hatch lost its attraction after a while. I never had any visibility issues. This weekend, I tried to pick up some moving boxes but couldnā€™t...
  12. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Those seats look great. New covers or replacement seats?
  13. Custom rear seat/cargo floor protector for '17 HB

I do but think Iā€™m going to keep it. It is working in my coupe pretty well.
  14. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

I took it in for the first oil change. The car only has 1500 miles but the oils is at least 6 months old. I also gassed up and only averaged 20.5mpg per Fuelly....I need to keep my foot out of the carpet! My previous tanks had been 34mpg.
  15. New dashboard device mounts for CivicX (Alternatives to ProClips).

    Ouch...$66 without any phone-specific mounting.
  16. Possible "gotcha" in the Honda Financing offer?

Correct. I paid mine off in 8 months and there was excess interest due. Itā€™s a great offer.
  17. Not sure where to go from here?

Isnā€™t that the truth! My other vehicle is a gas Class A that gets 7mpg downhill with a tailwind!
  18. Not sure where to go from here?

    Beautiful car!
  19. Determine what New Springs are Needed for Additional 500lbs?

Thatā€™s a lot of weight. The regular Civic is only rated for about 850 lbs of cargo including people, gas and stuff.
