i waited for a month for this kit to become available in the US... I ordered one and it's supposed to ship end of June. I have the aeroblades, but in 53 width. in the mean time my hitch mounted bike rack is working fine.... but for a ski box in the winter I need the roof rack.
in Vermont here... drove to Boston to get a 6MT Civic hatch LX... at the time I found like 5 of them in various colors... I just called the dealer and got a deal... drove 300 miles and bought it. I got red which what i wanted
and e-trailer explained why they claim KIT 1797 fits the civic hatchback
Thank you for asking the following question:
You say in other QandA that this fit kit will work on a 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback # THKIT1797 are you 100 sure?
The Thule web-site is saying they dont have anything that fits...
this fit kit appears to be readily available in the UK on web-sites... strange we have to wait in the US, but I guess the Civic Hatch is UK manufactured car.
fresh in from Thule support, looks like we're waiting for "KIT1852"

Hi Hans - Thank you for contacting Thule Customer Service. Yes, we have the two below options for the roof rack system for the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback. Please note, this...
I found this on etrailer.com

not sure if we have a solution in hand already! I'm hesitant to do this until Thule approves it. I emailed Thule support this week again. in April they told me a kit would come out in May... but that didn't happen
so I got the same hitch, tried to install it but the hitch brackets are not wide enough and they contact the body where the spare tire sits from above.
did you get your's installed successfully. Pics and video of the problem here. I'm emailing etrailers.com after this to see what they say...
I just got that hitch in the mail for my civic hatch, and they say for use of a bike rack you need to use this strap that provides support to the bike rack and connects to your hatch frame. Else on void warranty. Do you use that strap?
