The problem is... Canada. Damn near 6 months of winter some years. I really don't want a second vehicle. My commute is short, no hills, and we don't get a ton of snow so I think I'd manage just being careful and with winters of course, but it's something to think about hence my other 3 choices...
Damage to my car from my wing getting ripped off is a 6 day repair at $3,944.20. Yes, insurance.
Deciding between 4 different cars.
M440i
Camaro SS 6MT
S5 coupe
Mk 3 TTS
I did see a duckbill on eBay that I'd be fine with. I'm at the point now where I don't mind my car looking like a base model... I want it to be more low key at this point.
If they didn't destroy my trunk and I was just without the spoiler, I would just fill the holes and go duckbill... but...
So Si spoiler + caruse flap + roof spoiler vs no wings on the car at all is a difference of 4 mpg at 70 mph lmao
Deductible only $250, heading to a shop now.
Dude shattered my OEM wing, million pieces of black plastic everywhere trying to rip it off. No way he didn't damage the caruse flap.
I think somebody wanted my Caruse aeroflap. In broad daylight in a gated airport employee parking lot with cameras everywhere they tried to rip off the entire Si spoiler which failed because it's bolted in, also ripped off my cheap roof spoiler wihch was just an eBay one with 3M.
I'm 90% sure...
Yes it is a different wing. The Si one is higher. Visibility out the back is dogshit. You'll see flashing emergency lights back there but that's about it... I'd suggest getting familiar with your side mirrors.
It'll be nice to see out the back again actually, the one upside of all my shit...
When people say our brakes are bad they're talking more about the fade after repeated applications in spirited driving track/scenarios, not a single press of the brakes on a highway.
My Si coupe turns heads everywhere I go, they're relatively rare in my city.
Drove an 11th gen Si for a day and because they look like ugly and boring rental cars, nobody cares.
I don't drive my car to impress anybody but if my car is going to be as slow as a Honda Civic it should at least...
Pro Kit. No rubbing or anything, car is really not that low. This wheel/tire combo really demands Sportlines but it's just too risky with our third world roads.
Handling feels identical to stock, I was hoping it'd be a smidge firmer than stock.
Found a well-reviewed shop to do my Pro Kit springs next week and the guy said he wouldn't even do Sportlines and D2 springs on an Si cause it's just too low for our poverty roads. Pics coming once they're on.
