I don't know what to tell you other than it exists? If I had access to the car, I'd take a screen shot.
I know the oil pressure indicator light is not an oil level light. Honestly, I'm well aware and that did NOT come on when the message came up on the dash and the car was having problems...
Sorry - my misunderstanding. It WAS a stock car. The replacement turbo was an OEM donor from another stock car. But the wastegate needed to be replaced on it, and it was "tuned" to be like stock to that replacement wastegate, NOT performance tuned, if that makes sense?
Just came here to say my factory turbo on my 17 EX Hatch blew at about 170k. Mechanic did no compression or other checks on the engine, saying he'd never seen a turbo destroy an engine. A month later - after replacing the turbo (and intercooler) with an OEM turbo - I need a new engine. Go...
I didn't say anything about the "icon" - which was NOT on when the dash message came on. (it has lit up after being towed and started again.)
I was referring to the dash message SCREEN was NOT "low oil pressure" but "low oil level." When it happened I even got in this group and searched and...
So, found out this week that my 17 EX hatch needs a new engine (according to my mechanic) after getting it back just over a month ago after the turbo and intercooler were replaced. And I'm questioning whether the blown turbo is the cause of the engine failure only a month later? Let me offer...
I was extremely blessed to have a member see my post and reach out to me and sell me his stock non-Si turbo that had very few miles on it, saving me over $1000! 😊
I did have to order a new wastegate actuator, but that wasn't a problem to find.
What I am having trouble finding now is the gasket...
My OEM turbo blew on my all stock 17 1.5l hatch yesterday, and Honda wants $1500 for a new one. With 165k miles on the car, I just want something that will last me a few more years. So someone suggested that some of you probably have OEM turbos sitting on a shelf after performance upgrades that...
Great observation!
I'm out of my league when it comes to turbos and knowing what's good/better/best. It's easy to see lots of cheaper than OEM options on eBay, but I've no idea if they are worth a damn or not.
So, yesterday, right after I coincidentally got an oil change in my 2017 1.5l EX hatchback with 165k miles, I apparently ran over something that put a hole in my intercooler AND blew the turbo as well... According to my mechanic.
Intercooler is ordered, but I asked him to hold off on the turbo...
So, after recharging the system last spring at this time since, at that time, my EX Hatch was not in the warranty recall - I had cold air all last summer but it started petering out again last week. In the upper 80s this week so I got it into the dealer today for an oil change and to check the...
2017 Civic Hatchback EX owner here and guess what I got in the mail today (after being told about a month ago by a dealer that the hatchbacks were not part of the notice)? ???
That sounds like a blend door problem rather than the AC. In other words, if it's cold up top, then the problem has to be in the controls of which tunnel the air flows through since it's source is all the same.
