...stiffer. I prefer comfort in my daily driver, hence the Perrin inserts.
- KTuner 1.5 with TSP Stage 1+ tune. This was only done to disable revhang. I run base fuel map on a daily basis, but tune maps can be activated on the fly to change when and how much boost kicks in. This is a turbo...

Driving style: Usually on the speed limit, some speeding when later hours and no traffic around.
Tune experience notes: The KtunerV2 was a huge upgrade, revhang delete and overall smoothness and responsiveness of the car is night and day.

also recently deleted RevHang on 4/4/24
The car overall runs and drives amazingly, I can hard shift at 5k usually with no issues, curious if anyone had any kind of...
...was wondering what the best method for conservatively tuning my car would be. I have a ‘19 si. What I mean by this is, I want to get rid of revhang and enjoy the benefits of tuning, without risking the longevity of my motor or my clutch. I’m not looking for crazy power gains either. I was...
...possible the car would go out of emission standards. Slow engine speed drop is part of reducing nitrous oxide emissions.
The electronic revhang is only part of the issue anyway. A lot of it comes from the heavy dual-mass flywheel/clutches used in these cars. Of course to change that you...
Absolutely. Get a different car.
Seriously though, I think a tune is the way to go and not just for removing revhang. Obviously the power is improved. But so are drivability improvements including quicker turbo and throttle response. Improved traction control. As well as the fact you...
BOV is terrible... not gonna lie though I've thought of making my car run like crap just to hear what that HKS SSQ would sound like on my car lol. BUT have you used the recirculation kit? or using the plate adapter for VTA?

Verify what maf size you have, (either a stock or race maf) and then verify if the tune is correct for either maf size. If you have ktuner and a 2020 si, it will shift poorly without revhang on as there id a glitch which is a lean-buck issue and has not yet been resolved

I knew how smooth shifting was supposed to work.
It just took a while to perform it with the Si for some reason.
May have been the 'revhang'.
...and 3rd. What seems to be the best method for our cars? I know a lot of the information going around about just letting the clutch out in one motion is coming from people who haven't had to deal with revhang like our cars, so I just wanted to get an idea of what seems to work best for you guys.
...paying the car off completely. My plan for upgrades involves mostly waiting for the stock items to die then upgrading once they give out, the tune is mostly to help with revhang, and give it a bit more pep. I'm coming from a 2015 Sonic LT with the 1.8L, so even stock this thing is a huge...
...they are supper nice. Add to that a light weight flywheel and you will definitely enjoy very quick response to throttle input and with less revhang. You will want to play with your throttle settings in your tune to deal with how harsh this setup is for the street. It's annoying for...
You should totally track your Si. I tracked my FK7 last summer, and it was a blast. I only used the base +6 tune, and I have no intake or exhaust mods. There are some affordable track events in the Twin Cities this summer, and I plan on attending at least one of them.
I'm lucky enough to have...
