I'm having the same problem in Maryland. Almost no one will give me a written quote on an EX-T sedan. Just "get me a quote and we'll match it" BS... or "come in today for a test drive". The best price I've gotten is $20,900 but that seems on the high side to me. Anyone know of a dealer in Maryland offering good prices? I'm getting sick of car shopping. Sucks to be poor I guess.
What part of Maryland, what dealers have you gone to/gotten quotes from?

Northern Baltimore county but I've tried to get quotes from all over the state. I've tried about 10 dealers so far and it's pulling teeth to get a number. I got a quote of $22,200 plus taxes and fees from Hagerstown Honda just a few minutes ago. I wrote the guy back (the sales manager btw) that he had to be kidding. He wrote back that it was $1,000 off sticker and an excellent price. Honestly, I'm getting tired of this. I may have to just get a Hyundai product again... good prices and quotes are easy to get. I don't get how people in the Midwest are getting these crazy good prices under $20,000 plus tax and fees. Frustrated as hell.

Greetings!
Brand New Newbie here!

Looking for a EX-T sedan. Way out here in Hawaii. Local dealer is crazy at $25,300 OTD, with a "super sale price" of $22,888 PLUS rediculous add ons like the protection package at $875, which I calculate to be worth about $250, tops,& the lighted door trim @475, another $30 item.
So after going island to island & getting basically quotes for the same care at $3000 above what I am willing to pay, I am now mainland shopping.

SO HERES my Question:

I need to look /purchase a EX-T close to a port on west coast: Seattle, Portland, Oakland, Long Beach, San Diego.

The shipping is about $1100 to Hawaii,& IF I can get a car for $21,000 - $22,000 range plus $1100 shipping at OTD around$22,500 to $23,000 I would be quite happy. (Yes I know that's the price we pay for living in paradise: ALSO $2.65 a gallon gasoline!)

If anyone has a dealer/fleet manager they can recommend, and have got a great deal, close to any of these west coast ports, & I can also get a decent price; it would be Very Much Appreciated!

Don't know if this will help (not sure if you're north toward Harford County or towards York County, PA), but try some of the PA dealers (in York if on the York side, in Chester County if on the Harford side). You should be only an hour away and I got written (email) quotes from Roberts and Scotts in Chester, a few in Philly, Martin in Delaware (another option). You should be paying MD tax and since you'd be right over the border, they should be able to do registration for you at MVA. Most offered me around 2K straight off on a touring so not sure how they would be on an EX-T but it's somewhere to start.

I'm getting quoted selling prices of $17,900 pre TTL for LX CVT (no sensing) and $19,500 pre TTL for EX (no sensing) from dealers in SoCal. I can do better right? Any dealers giving better deals?

I was originally looking at some quotes for the LX so I haven't negotiated any yet but the lowest I got so far was $17,700 from Hardin Honda (I've been talking to Kevin G atm since he gave a deal to some people so far. You can tell them that I referred you and get a good quote? You can tell him that your friends name is Ken and that I'm looking at the EX-T right now) in Anaheim for LX CVT (no sensing, and $19467 OTD).

I dont have any pricing for the EX (since I'm looking at the EX-T). Again, you can probably get a good quote from them. I've checked out a lot of places so far in SD/LA/Irvine area and Hardin Honda and Honda of Corona has given me the best quotes so far.

Thanks! Will do. Hardin Honda is on my list of dealers I'm going to contact so I should do that. Did you get that right off the bat? We should be able to do better since a good number of people in this thread and on other sites got the LX CVT for around $17,100 +/- $300.

Did you email Kevin G directly? Can you PM me his email address if possible?

Yeah Hardin had the lowest initial quote given out of any dealerships I have. Including the fact that the LX is the most populated model I'm pretty sure you can negotiate it down more. In regards to how much more I'm not sure. I have seen better deals elsewhere in other states as well but it's hard to replicate/duplicate such luck. Fortunately, we do have the lowest initial quotes compared to anyone else and $17,700 is already a good starting price. Good luck with the negotiation and keep us all updated!

Talked a dealer down to $20,567 OTD (including TTL) for the 2016 Civic Ex. Does anyone think I can do any better? I have a written price-match guarantee if I buy before Saturday (which is not likely, since I just started negotiating) that I may use as ammunition against a couple other dealers, including one close to my house that I first test drove with. Plus, still might be good to wait until they're desperate at the end of the month.

You are not saying much because OTD and TTL is different for everyone.. I just bought an EXT for $20100+TTL so make that a guideline comparing cost difference of EX vs ExT.. I wouldn't buy a new Civic unless it had Turbo. Plus the EXT rides and handles better with larger 17" wheels. Also notice the EXT has a spoiler, dual exhaust, heated mirrors, heated seats, remote start. A lot more car for the money.

But if your set on a EX? $18840 +TTL should be target or less. ;)

And dual zone climate control if that matters to some :)
For me, it was turbo and heated seats that made it worth it....plus I think the EX comes with remote start too doesn't it?

Thanks! I think I could have maybe gone lower, but the car was there, I went in on a weekday (thought the car was sold) and since it was there, they said they will sell it...told them what I wanted to pay, they tried to low ball me on trade, told them no, got what I wanted and was that....finance took over an hour of waiting, plus i HATED the finance guy, he was a liar trying to sell his stupid expensive plan...I would go back to them, if they were lowest price, I would start search again at Castrucci because salesman was good and finance guy there was great ---wasn't pushing anything at all and took about 10 minutes and was done

The finance guy tried to sell me on stuff but i distracted him by talking about the weekend which got him off his sales pitch. To be honest other than the sales person (Josh) asking me if I wanted some dealer add on features (which I didn't know but I could have gotten a military discount on it, so I'm glad I didn't buy at MSRP), I was just left waiting for almost an hour and a half on the finance guy. I don't know if its because they knew they had a sale in me, but it was really a credit check, sign some papers, and finance guy.

Not the best service, but at the same time it was all business no games, no last minute chair pull with extra BS... I would buy again from there but I will continue to look at other places as well.

Yeah, overall, I went to who had the lowest ending price, and Kings was quite a bit cheaper...even less than Performance in Fairfield, not sure why because they are sister stores, but I can't complain too much (no one would listen anyways :))
