Coming from a 13 year old Camry, I'm finding that people are tailgating me more often. Either they hate that my car is awesome or they want a better look at my rear! lol

Also, every time I see someone driving a 2016 Civic, they're over 40 and never acknowledge me.

There's no Civic pride around here. Yesterday, I'm at a light and I see another LSM stopped RIGHT BEHIND ME. I noticed the the side mirrors and of course the LED running lamps. I look in my rear view mirror to even see if the driver (an older dude) is even remotely intrigued... He's staring down at his smart phone...

Light goes green and I kinda take it easy and see it's an LX (no fogs) and hope maybe he'll pull alongside... Nah, nope, never. Driver stays back enough that a SUV gets in between and I never see him again. Had to jump on the freeway and I said forget it, I'm out. No love here, man. No love. It's just another coffee maker or appliance for some, I guess.

Same exact thing happened to me this past weekend. Guy pulls up along side of me at a stop light. I had my windows down and looked over. He was driving a WOP LX and never even remotely looked towards my car. So sad.

That is so true. Most people just get a car for transportation, or because they like certain things they'll use. Alot of people would drive a block of wood, as long as it had some cool features they could use with their stupid cellphone.

For me though, I got my EGP Coupe, because I'll be damned if I'm gonna spend that much on something to be normal, or just to have transportation.

That's really incredibly disappointing considering you have that awesome wrap on your ride! If it's me, I'd look over, check it out and at the least give a thumb's up or maybe even a nod of appreciation.

Kinda like this:

I know right. Wouldn't you at least notice a car you just bought in a color you weren't offered at your dealership?

I can't believe people are complaining about not receiving props for owning a Civic. It's a freaking regular Civic, not something rare and exotic worthy of receiving attention. Drive it, enjoy it, and try not to care about what people think. If you want attention buy a Type R or something more rare or exotic.

Well, I'd say the Coupe's are pretty exotic. I mean, nothing else on the street looks like it. It's very sporty and eye catching.

Why are you getting so worked up?

I agree, the new coupe is a great looking car, imo. But there are hundreds of thousands of these cars sold every year. It's only eye catching until the road fills up with them, which it will because, well, it's a Civic. I'm a Honda fan so I bought one but you don't buy a Civic to stand out or get props. I guess that's my point.

That's why I'm glad I got the Touring. Won't be seeing many of those anywhere. But in the end it's no different than the dozens of Camaro's and Mustang's you see on the road every day. I still haven't seen the dealership get many more Coupe's. It looks like they are a bit rare. Right now, at least.

And most people will probably be opting for the less bright colors. So the blue's and green's will be stand outs among the rest.

I've seen only one coupe where I live. The Touring sedan is also rare in my parts. I've only seen two since the 10th generation came out. Wise decision on your trim and color choice. On a more general note, I had an idea that eventually the streets will be proliferated with this car, which is even more exciting to be able to mod and add my own personal touch. Maybe those subtle but big changes will still catch the attention of others a few years down the road as much as the previous generation with light but standout mods still catches mine. I can definitely respect individuality, even if it's rice.

Yep, I have seen 1 Touring, and it was a rare one, too. Aegean Blue coupe about a month after the coupes came out, parked at the dealer (customer's car tho).

I have seen a crap ton of LXs, a good number of EXs, very few EX-T and above, and the ones that I've seen have all been the more neutral colors (white, black, grey) - no silvers, no blues, no Rallye Red and definitely no EGPs.

Yeah I haven't seen a Touring sedan yet. All are LX's or EX. And I haven't ventured down the personalizing road yet but I'm excited to at some point. Wish I could find some Mystique X-Men car accessories lol.
