Headlight film?

I know that all cars with plastic headlights suffer from discoloration over time. Has anyone here used the headlight protector film before? I see them on Amazon, and the reviews are mixed. I also see that WeatherTech has them: http://www.weathertech.com/lampgard/
Pricey, but cheaper than replacing headlights, assuming they last more than two years and they actually stay on.

I used 3M/Ventureshield on my car. No fading or discoloring after 8 years/150K. Well worth it if you ask me.

How often do you have to replace the film?

Never. Lifetime film.

Do modern day plastic headlights still discolor? I know that they can get cloudy is that what you mean?

Xpel also makes some good headlight protection covers.

That was fast! Post up a review and some photos if you can. DIY write-up would be cool if it warrants it. Could be useful when I get my coupe.

Yes they do

I wish I had done this on day 1 on my last cars. Foggy headlights are terrible.

I just ordered the Xpel kit, I may install them before I drive the car home

Hey, scsi. Did you install the headlight film? I want to do the same, but would rather wait for some other brave soul to try it first.

Mine is being done tomorrow.

The key is in the installation. The front grill is not what I would recommend for first timers.

I've got the film, but no car yet. My dealer says it'll be here somewhere between the 22nd and 26th!
