It's because you haven't been here that long haha.

They were actual posts before the guy came in one night and edited every single one of his posts to ...

I find that the alternate skin shortcuts are a bit better than the original skin. For example there's a direct shortcut to the "history of trip a" on the alternate skin but requires 3 or 4 taps to get to the same screen on the original skin.

More of a tip than trick, at drive-thru places its convenient for me to use the Brake-Hold feature!
In Bangkok traffic, the Brake Hold is a god-send. Stop and go traffic is so much easier. When you come to a complete stop, just take your foot off the brake and it holds. Works on hills as well.

I hate how you can't turn off Brake Hold without a seatbelt on. If I'm Brake Holding at a keypad and need to take off my seatbelt to press the digits, I should be able to turn off Brake Hold and drive off. But no it doesn't let me.

Brake hold works as a poor-mans launch control.

Fastest way I've found off the line with the CVT:
Brake hold on
Select L
At the go, roll on the power.

Smashing the throttle bogs down the CVT. "Preloading" with a bit of power in the traditional method seems to also bog down the CVT.

The brake hold removes the variable of releasing the brake so that you get a more consistent launch.

Car seems a bit quicker with the traction on, she spins the wheels with out it.

I can prove it quite yet, I'm going to the next open day at the local Dragstrip and try the different combos. Sadly, that's not until October, but it seems faster at the Autocross.

That's what I've thought all along, too. I use it pretty much all the time esp. at lights and despite not being able to rev boost to a higher rpm (I'm not racing anyway) brake hold cuts down on time to get on the gas and it gives me the jump ahead of the pack.

yeah, i experience the same thing. mashing the pedal from a dead stop really bogs it down. i found that getting on the pedal halfway then let it roll then drive the pedal all the way down is the best way to for the turbo and cvt to gather power. some times it still surprises me when i get pushed back into my seat :) :drive:

Nice tip! I will try this when I get home later. I was hoping for this feature when I first got the car, so I was holding down the unlock button, but nothing happens. If I'm not mistaken, this feature was only exclusive to Accords and up or something in the past (I had a 2014 Civic Coupe, and it didn't have this feature at all). I wasn't aware that it's a double tap and then hold. Thanks!
My 2006 Acura TL had it. I guess Honda's had this feature for even more than 10 years now.
The only thing that annoys me is that it doesn't work reversely(roll windows up)

Don't know if people noticed this.

If you leave your key in the trunk and try to close the trunk, the trunk will automatically reopens for you to remind you that you left your key in it.

I've had this mistake with my 06 TL when I left the key in the trunk and closed it, with the vehicle doors locked. So I basically locked myself out of the car.
