This is completely off topic, but if I wanted to get my future 2016 civic coupe EX-L front, to look like the front of your profile picture, how would I go about doing that? I don't know much about cars lol... All I know is that I'm not a fan of that silver in the front/silver linings and want it blacked out or replaced or what ever lol.
Quite a few people have done this. Look into plastidip which is a spray that goes on and can be peeled off later. Vinyl wrapping is also an option.

With the new hatch and Si coming out both appear to have the gloss black front grill instead of the chrome. So you could always order just that piece online and replace the chrome on the EXL with the gloss black piece from the si or hatch (they should all fit universally) as for the chrome around the Windows those would probably also have to be replaced, plastidipped or vinyl wrapped.

My expectations for the si based off of what we know of the new civics and what Honda has done historically with positioning the Si:

-Priced around EXL pricing but still below touring pricing. (This keeps the touring features as something special and separate as to not hurt sales)
-around 230hp no matter which engine it gets.
-a feature list similar to the ext models
-possibly a second trim that offers leather/LED headlights (maybe...)
-the possibility of a dct option for the 2018 models
-standard LSD (electronic or physical)

This list positions the Si as the affordable sport coupe that it's always been. Leaves a good price margin/performance margin for the CTR to not step on toes. It also keeps the touring trim relevant since certain features would only be available on touring and not on the Si (Along with keeping the Si sport focused, weighing less and less expensive). This way the Si will undercut its main competition while still offering as many/more features and equal or greater performance.

Did anyone else notice that the driver in the second half of the pics looks like Hurley from the show "Lost"?

Also the rear shots show dual canister mufflers which means "heavy".....That will be one of the first things to go...LOL

Otherwise I'm def liking the car!

Now this is freakin' awesome! I'm digging the shifter as well, looks pretty neat but that sport button makes me wonder if this thing has something fancy going on

I probably have to wait until 2017 or when ever the new Si comes out then, in order to order the piece don't I, poo lol. It looks like a lot of people personally plastidip their car. From what little I researched it seems vinyl is the better route to go but the new coming Si front looks sooooo nice.

Negative on the 1.5L Si. The Si has never in it's history had a smaller displacement than the Type-R engine, so I'm not sure what makes people think they'd break tradition with the 10th gen. And 230hp is way too low -- look for a number closer to 260hp and you'll be getting warmer :)

I'm missing the sport button- can someone show me? The only thing I see is the engine start/stop.

I had to double check for myself as well, if you look close its opposite of where the electronic hand brake is at.

What no mirror tun signals nor LED headlights? Totally disappointed. May go with a GTI now at least I can the turn signals and HID lights.

Its amazing what a lower ride height and bigger wheels can do for a car. I feel like the 10th gen Coupes design potential has finally been tapped. It 'looks' ... expensive, even down to the contrasting stitching on the seats. I see this and can't help but wonder what Honda has in store for the Accord Coupe. Their wheelbases are identical and the Civic is lighter, cheaper, more contemporary looking inside and out, and crucially, BOTH FWD :dunno:

Interesting. I wonder if that's rev matching...

The Si needs to crank out 250+ hp minimum from the factory and the Type R 350+ hp to hang with the competition. They need to come out big for this new generation seeing how Honda likes to take eons to bump power output (think S2000 and previous Type R models). If not, we might be stuck with ~230hp and ~306 hp engines in these respective models for like the next 50 years.

Biggest thing to take away from mules is chassis and powertrain. That's why it has the Si specific wheels, the powertrain, center exhaust. The car in terms of the shell/features and electronics could simply be a gutted EX-T coupe.
