I think it looks good. Appears that it will have a similar front bumper cover to the CTR. Wheels look good and the ride height is perfect. I like the idea of the center exhaust, but not sure I'm digging the exaggerated funnel around it; looks kind of like a vacuum cleaner head. The interior looks good; well bolstered/aggressive seats, short shifter, red stitching, thick steering wheel, etc. I'm sure the production version will have a trunk spoiler, maybe they are still developing the final version. I have a feeling there will be a standard Si similar to what is shown here, with upgrade options (technology, LED headlamps, etc.) This will allow people to get the performance without creeeping on the Touring price tag. I'm sure that a loaded up version will be in Touring $ territory, maybe a grand or 2 more. Just glad to finally see an Si mule on the street. I was starting to think the CTR wouldn't be in dealerships until Christmas 2017.

LOVE the center exhaust. So glad they kept that from the Civic Concept Coupe!

The Si coupe is gonna look so aggressive once the camouflage comes off... just look at how big those front intakes are.
Ikr? Basically as big as the hatchback concept

Type R is expected to be 30k or more in price based on current type r pricing. That's a bit out of my price range. Ext is squarely in my price bracket for a new car. But if the Si doesn't break touring price I could easily make that price work too.
+1 I would never spend 30k usd on a civic. Si or type R. Would rather put that into an Audi or a 3 series and pay the difference. I know the 10th gen is a great car but Honda needs to be realistic here.

Yet people are lining up to pay 35K for a ford focus. lol... Honda knows what they are doing.

"We have yet to receive any solid info.. blah blah." You sound like one of those dealer rep. What do you mean the type R could be completely different from the Si? LMAO. Type R is in a whole different level than Si.

Again, keep dreaming on AWD, if they've already beaten GTR in Nurburging, why make it AWD and make it more heavy? Sometimes, common sense is not so common. But hey, if you're CEO of Honda USA, and people do whatever you say, then hands down, "Si will hold a sport title."

"Just because the Type R is finally coming to the US does not mean the Si doesn't hold a sport title." - I'm having problem understanding this.. so you mean to say Honda offers Type R to come to US, which is 10x better than Si, but we'll keep them both in sport category? Hmmmm.. One has all the goodies, while the other one has barely enough in it, and somehow both are considered in sport title.. I had no idea that there is such thing as 1st place, 1st place, and 1st place.

Do you remember when BMW released the M235i? This is BMW saying, hey we got a "affordable car with some M goodies so you can feel like you're driving an actual M car."
Man you make my head hurt. Don't take so much offense to everyones opinions.....just a suggestion. Si stands for "Sport injection." Sport is defined as "to play in a happy or lively way" or "to amuse oneself" and I think the Si has always done that. The CTR will do that as well just in a more hardcore, badass form. Quibbling about the sport title is ridiculous. It's nice that auto manufacturers make different levels of sporty cars. BMW with the M sport trims and the actually M line. Ford with the ST and RS. Subaru with XT, WRX, and STI trims, etc. It shows they know they can market to different income levels and fans of the brands. I'm going to wait on the final details of the Si and CTR before I make a decision on whether or not I'm going to ditch my WRX (just a poor peon who couldn't afford an STI).

Not a huge fan of wheels, they look like trippy 60s flowers in 10 spoke form.

Honda does make a sporty Si with all the plushness of the touring. It's called the ILX.

We're not disagreeing with you... We just all agree that your a douche no but all seriousness, SI is not in a "sport class" it's just sportier than the everyday civic...see your both right! Plus I think he was giving AWD as an example as to how much we don't know about what's coming. But we all know it will be FWD
I also agree this guy is a douche trying for to knock people for not being able to afford a type r and be in his "big boy" club. The Si is a sporty version of a standard civic. The Type r just takes it to the next level - you could call it a track focused version. Ford is doing the same with its ST and RS. Subaru did it with the impreza WRX and STI. Two levels of sporty cars for two different budgets.

Its like saying the audi r8 v10 cannot be called sporty because the v10 PLUS is the sporty version. Get a clue. :rolleyes1:

Interesting that this is almost exactly what the concept looked like (minus the spoiler), but also that it doesn't have sensing or LED lights (on this one). Wondering if this slots in alongside the normal ext, exl and Touring, or is its own car that you can add options.

headlights are not difficult to buy in the aftermarket. it would be awesome if it came with those full leds but i seriously doubt it ... gonna be reserved for the R most likely

The CTR at $30-$35K is a freaking steal for the performance you'll get. Look at the 9th gen Euro CTR at the Nurburgring, it posted a faster lap time than the following exotic sports cars, some costing more than 5x as much:

Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series
BMW M4
Lamborghini Gallardo
Ford GT
Porche 911 GT3
Ferrari F430
Ferrari 360 CS
Ferrari California GT
Chevy Corvette Z06
NSX-R

Si will be a great car for the money, no doubt, with good aftermarket options to upgrade performance. The CTR will be an absolute beast...can't freaking wait.

Awesome seats. Looks heavily bolstered. Similar to Euro Type R, but not quite as aggressive. HEATED SEATS!

Sport button on the shift console. I have my suspicions about that. Some level of adaptive suspension?

Single piston floating caliper setup. Meh, solid, but I expected that from the Si.

A whole lot of muffling for that single exit exhaust. Those canisters are large. Probably tuned for a good sound.

Black painted grille.

Spoiler holes on the trunk. Left off for camo I suppose.

Pretty low compared to the regular models.

In regards to our recent internet bully who was basically bashing anyone who can't afford a CTR (and some of us just don't want one LOL) i've seen this same thing time and time again on all the civic forums i've ever been on. 8th and 9th gen forums all slowly degraded into jerks repeating "shoulda got an Si" everytime someone was happy/proud to have gotten their non-Si civics, especially if they had performance mods planned. Heck, i know people who PREFER to get a base model and build it up themselves, instead of just forking over the cash to get a factory ready track car, and there is alot of respect in that too.

Now i think we'll see "Shoulda got a CTR" and the Si drivers will finally see how annoying that was for all the regular civic drivers. haha.

The fact of the matter is, some people don't want a super expensive track focused car, especially if it's a daily driver. The Si is and always has been a great blend of Sport and practicality, liken it to someone who buys the touring model for the features and comfort upgrades, the Si driver focuses more on enhanced sportier performance instead of the comfort/features of the touring models. The Si has always effectively been roughly an EX level (EXT in this case i think) with upgraded engine, suspension, wheels, visual flair. Expecting it to be a touring model + Si features is a bit short sighted from a marketing/sales perspective.

The 10th gen civic is a great car, in any guise. Because honestly its more than just one trim level, and it appeals to way more than just one demographic. Whether it's budget minded people, comfort/convenience, sporty daily driver with a little extra visual flair, or a hardcore track beast there's a civic for everyone. Our love of the new civic is what has brought us here to post pics and gush over our new cars and we should all be happy/proud of our choice, no matter what trim. And we should all respect and be happy for everyone elses choices as well. It just makes everyone's life alot more pleasant.
