Reason the hatchback might not be until late 2016 - 2017 is also because it's produced at a completely separate factory - at Honda UK's plant.Just remember they still have the hatchback, Si, and Type R to show all within 18 months. The coupe and sedan will share the most similarities and least amount of differences in terms of trims, powertrain, suspension, body style etc, and they are the volume sellers so it makes sense for Honda to time the two closely. The Si and Type R as all high performance variants will be spaced further apart. Waiting until March or later (5+ months) just to show a 2 door version of what has already been revealed would not make much sense. Honda has clearly made this Civic X generation a very aggressive rollout.
And yea no way the Coupe takes more than 2-3 months after today's reveal to hit dealerships.
