I have a 2017 Civic Si Sedan, and the vehicle was running perfectly fine until it started throwing these codes (VSA problem, Emissions System Problem, Hill-Start Assist Problem, Brake System Problem, EPS Problem). Along with the codes, the engine would lose all power mid driving (on the freeway); however, when the vehicle is shut off and turned back on, it drives fine. The only mods on the vehicle is an aftermarket intake. Are there any solutions for this? I've been reading threads, and so far I haven't found one that had a solution. Honda is quoting me $180 for a diagnosis fee, and I do not want to pay it if they can't solve the problem themselves. Any thoughts? Solutions?

Sounds like your car is going into limp mode on you because it’s recognizing some problems occurring while you drive. My first question is what kind of intake are you running? Is the MAF sensor housing the same size as factory or is it larger (i.e street vs. race)? There are a few brand that are known to throw off fuel trims and running a race MAF housing without tuning to account for it will also throw off fuel trims badly. Thrown off fuel trims over long periods of time can lead to long term problems.

Switch back to the stock intake and see if that clears the codes?

Echoing the others.... What intake is on the car?

Assuming you don't have KTuner or Hondata and can't do it yourself, you need to find someone to scan your codes and find out why the check engine light is on.

I am currently running the Maperformance Intake with the street housing. No tune is needed according to the company! Upon reading other threads, this is apparently a common problem.. even for vehicles that only have 500 on the odo.
