Quick note: make sure not to set the height so low that the bottom of that silver rod hits the shifter when trying to get into the 1/2 gate (moving the shift knob left).

Thanks Russ! yea i noticed that chipping the paint a little when i was first doing some practice shifts, then i brought it up high enough where it doesn't touch anymore.

Spring is real different huh lol. All jokes aside did you end up selling the hybrid unit
Haven't taken it off. Well the shifter springs do have different part #'s. Brass Bushing should change shifter feel.

No problem. I wanted to catch you before you got the console all buttoned up. Sounds like you got it! :)

yea i cut my rod between the bottom and the number 5 so it could go a little lower than the 10mm that was allowed. then sanded it down, but for sure had it to low the first couple 1 to 2 pulls and nicked the nice black paint.

Haha, fear not. If he just cut the bottom off the silver upper rod, should be fine. We also sell replacement parts if anyone is ever in need. :)

correct i cut the upper ROD only so that the shifter sits lower than when it came from factory, now it sits at the perfect height for shifting with comfort. glad to know you have replacement parts for it if ever needed in future. do you sell replacement parts for each piece of shifter? it looks super nice in the car now, ill take a shot with my 27won knob later today and post it for anyone interested.

You can buy the spring separate? You sure? Or are you talking about aftermarket.

Replacement parts are special order only, but generally, our sales reps can help find what you need.

Oh, yeah. Nice setup! Thanks to your link, I ordered the 2020 shifter and shift knob. They’re in transit already. Can’t wait as my center console is torn apart in anticipation of the new assembly. It’ll be paired with the already installed Acuity cable bushings. I should’ve kept the base bushings. Glad you’ll be putting them to good use.

i cut off a half inch from the bottom of the ROD if anyone wanted to know what it looks like now, the shifter now sits at my preferred height.

How do you guys like the acuity short shifter for daily driving? I want one, but Im worried that it might get tiresome. I commute about 70 miles a day, but it is mostly highway.

Also, @blackie X is that a 27won shift knob? If so, I totally get why you cut that rod, that knob is pretty tall. I have one on my SI right now, and I definitely want to lower it because it sits way higher than stock. How do you like your setup?
