Allow me to rant a bit...

I see that "PLM" (Private Label Manufacturing) has knocked off yet another one of the products from one of the hard working companies in our community that invests the time and money into research and development and actually cares about the members of our community.

Any customer that purchases or any dealer that sells these products are hurting the community as a whole. Why should PRL Motorsports, LLC and 27WON Performance bother doing the work if someone else is going to exactly copy the product and then undercut the pricing? Not to mention that PLM usually does a poor job of it and often ends up with fitment issues.

I realize that everyone may not be aware that this is happening. Please be aware of what PLM is doing and please do not support their efforts if you want companies like PRL and 27Won to keep innovating and bringing quality products to the 10th gen community.

What's the newly copied product? FP/DP? Exhaust? Turbo? Intercooler? Help us to know what to look out for.

Interestingly, Hybrid-Racing carries a full line of PLM products.

The FP/DP, intake, and intercooler they are selling are all examples of copycat manufacturing. There may be more but those are the ones I am familiar with. While community supporters PRL Motorsports and 27Won are the victims in this particular case, PLM has been guilty of this long before the 10th gen Civic came to the market.

Sounds like a modified AMD/Intel argument. It's no surprised that Intel sits around while AMD does all the R&D and then Intel just comes back with the same type of technology - only better. hehe.

This is not an invitation to start an Intel bash, you AMD guzzlers. *nom nom cough cough choke choke*. haha. Sorry. :D

EDIT: Sorry. I tend to let humour get away with the conversation. I totally agree that knock offs hurt the investors and the best way to go is with the real deal, not a cheaper option.

I remember when the DP first came out and people complained that it failed very soon after install.

Guilty sure but it's not like their products are patented. Just say 27Won trademark their companies name but not parts.

The copy-catters will be far from the quality of the originals. Sure they can get one and reverse engineer it but it's still not same.
You know the saying " you get what you pay for".
Support our locals, they especially need it now. Knockoffs and stealers be damned. Sorry for the rant, I'm piling on.

If someone wants to buy some piece of crap PLM, that's on them. It's their own fault when it fails. The price tag alone should throw up red flags. It will be a good lesson for them. I will gladly continue to overpay for 27won products than cheap out on the crappy knockoffs. I care about my car too much to do otherwise.
