I’ve had the brace installed for about a week. I feel like the car eats up bumps and cracks in the road much better than before now that the front end is more solidly connected. For $30 or so what I paid I wasn’t honestly expecting much but I’m glad I went with this OEM piece instead of the more expensive Cusco brace. With the money saved I’ll use it towards a front strut bar to further reinforce the chassis.

I joined the CTR brace on my 2020 Si sedan club a few days ago. I ordered from Honda Parts Network form a link another member supplied and it only took a few days to ship. It did arrive with a couple of tiny cosmetic nicks but I guess it really doesn't bother me considering it was $24.14 shipped and will be on the underside of the car anyway. I guess this will go on when the first oil/filter change is done....which will probably be mid-Summer considering I've had the car since Dec '19 and have around 2500 miles on it now. Hopefully by that time I'll have the 27WON FSTB and 27WON Performance Intercooler with piping to throw on too.

Hi. I was reading through the posts but couldn't find anyone post about this:

I just got this CTR Brace without realizing my Sport Touring HB already has a Center Brace but mines sits further back and wouldn't interfere with this one.

Has anyone left both on? Would there be any benefits to having both? Should I replace the current one with the CTR one? Or would it not even make a difference?

Thanks

Different brace. Both fits at same time.

CTR brace is subframe which braces the front subframe. The sport HB is looking more like main chassis bracing. I am not sure if you need both

Just ordered from hondapartshq.com. Used code rm10sd to save $10 on shipping. Total for me was $21.73. I've used this site previously to order my spare tire kit, I was happy with that transaction so I went with them again.

Just installed mine on my '17 Hatch Sports Touring. Had some trouble for a bit because the bolts gave us some resistance going in but nothing lubricant spray couldn't help us with.

I honestly felt an immediate difference driving afterwards taking it through some roundabouts. There was less chassis flex and less body roll. Next up strut bar! Only options I can find in Canada are the Tanabe and the DC Sports Bar. The DC is a one piece but the Tanabe looks way better and both cost around the same so not sure what I'll go with yet.

What you have there isn't the subframe brace. I mean it's a brace. But a different one

2016 sedan here. First one I’ve seen post about this so I thought I’d share. It works on my car. Bolt holes and threads are there.

Ugh, you have to bring down the majority of the stupid under car shield thingy? Seems like a hassle.

You have to but it's very few parts. I did this yesterday and it took me 30 to 40 min

Can anyone confirm the torque? I torqued it to 70ft-lbs. If it's more than requirement will it cause any issue ?

Just installed mine. Still don't have high expectations... Especially seeing where it mounts. Seems sturdy enough without this thing but $12 is $12 :dunno:
