I didn't DD the stock tires for long, instead went to an all-season compound which was probably worse in most every way :( That said, I did DD with the stock rims and didn't have too many issues. In the 1½ years with the setup I didn't have too many issues, the rid quality was tolerable on bad roads (comfort mode) otherwise perfectly fine in sport mode (or even +R) in most other circumstances (the road surface didn't need to be perfect, or even close to it). I did blow out my tire once going over a pot hole laterally while changing lanes. But the rims never damaged so I never had to invoke the wheel and tire warranty I got. Eventually I got sick of the all-season compound and wanted something better (that would work half decently for Chicago winters) so I swapped to 18s with PS AS3+ which are adequate for what I do.

I've DD'd the OEM wheels for 2 years. In that time span, I have only slightly bent each wheel from curbs and potholes. They hold up fairly good despite being massive.

Comfort is OK when the pavement isn't smooth; comfort mode mitigates this a bit to make it slightly more tolerable. I've never found it to be break-your-back stiff even on some pretty bad roads. On smooth roads they are no issue.

Oh, and if you want a bit more comfort you can upsize tires to 245/35/20 and they will fit without issue.

I just replaced my OE Contis which had 12k miles, bought the CTR new 1 year ago this month. They were pretty worn down at 12k miles, rotations occurred every 3-4k miles. I could have stretched them another 2-3k miles if I wanted to but was tired of wheel spin and a rather rough ride. I had 2 nails before 10k miles, had to scrap one tire bc of damage. Overall, they were good tires but I experienced hella wheel spin in first and second gear pulls.

Now have a set of Hankook Ventus on the OE rims, great ride quality, maybe a little bit of under steering compared to the Contis.

I love the OE rims so I'll eventually report back on the wear/tear and usage of the Hankooks

I DD the 20's in the summer, it isn't bad. I do a 20mi commute one way, I do get a little anxiety when I hit an unseen bump or small pothole. I've curbed my rear passenger wheel and only had a deep scratch (of which still needs to be covered up lol) I want to say I've been lucky in comparison to some of the stories on here about the stock wheels.

I DD on stock wheels. 22k+ miles. I have 2 sets. One of them still has the stock tires, I use those mainly for autocross. The second set has A/S tires with a slightly taller sidewall. I have had no issues.

I punctured the sidewall of my driver front tire (Oem) around 7k miles from hitting something on the road. It also bent the wheel ever so slightly.

Kicker is that I pre-purchased Cup2s to run on the stock wheels once stock tires were done. I wanted to see how it handles on the track with stock wheels. I got the Cup2s mounted and wheel repaired but will downsize to 18s after this season.

I drive like a grandpa and I live in an area with decent roads

No problems at all, I'm coming up on 9 months using the stock wheels/tires as a daily driver

Rotated the wheels at ~5K miles, I'm closing in on 10K and the tread still looks usable

Likely sticking with the wheels and switching to Michelin PS' once the current stock tires wear away

26k miles here and on my second set of Contis (didnt pay full price, bought take-offs). Doing fine so far (knock on wood).

I do what i can to avoid known trouble spots and lanes. On the fwy I only stick to the #1 or #2 lane if possible to avoid wherever big rigs go.

2 yrs 23k miles no issues at all in Cleveland area on Pilot Sport AS 3+ 255s. No urge to splurge on wheels, I figure the Honda engineers know what they are doing.

What brand of tires in 245/35/20 would you suggest and what type Summer or All seasons?? Thanks

For all seasons the Continental DSW06 and Michelin PS AS3+ are probably our recommended tires.
What tinyman said. I personally run with the DWS06 and have had no issue with them. I;m still on them as a matter of fact! Plenty of life left after 2 winters now.
