I know this a car forum, but I would like to take this opportunity to pray and wish for the safety and health of every one of you on this forum (and it's subforums). As everyone is well aware of the COVID-19 threat circulating world wide, I want all of you to be safe. The seriousness of this virus cannot be overstated. Here in Northern California, many of the cities and counties have called for a mandatory 3 week stay in place quarantine. This quarantine will probably in the next few weeks be implemented in other cities, and other states. Most businesses and companies have shut down, and starting tomorrow no one is allowed to be out without a valid reason.

These are scary times we live in, but this should hopefully pass soon. So take care of yourselves, if you live in one of the infected areas, keep a small distance from people, constantly wash your hands, and use Lysol wipes on the door handles and insides of your Civic Sports, hatches, Si's, Accords, Type R's etc. or whatever you drive. Godbless, and I wish all of you well

Also probably a good idea to hold onto your savings and don't spend it on mods until this passes by. Whether you catch the virus or not, the biggest fallout over this will come as companies cease to turn a profit and/or are closed for several weeks which will directly impact employees(you) the most. Expect reduced hours, temporary mandatory leave of absences, bankruptcies, etc. My company has already reduced us from 45 hours to 38.75 hours a week and I can tell by our load lines that dealers have not requested more vehicles since Thursday of last week, so though we may not have any cases of the virus, the chain reaction from businesses will heavily impact us. When we do come out of this, a lot of people will be broke. So tighten up your belt, the hugely negative economic impact is going to last well beyond the life of the virus.

Also, don't waste your fucking money on tp, what the hell is wrong with people?! I grew up in a 3rd world country that experienced food shortages fairly consistently, TP is the last thing you need to worry about, just load up on rice and beans and wash your damn ass in the shower

Even though I' m not an American, I'm concerned about everything that
happens to you. We have all kinds of relations between our two peoples
plus we share a border of 4K miles.
This morning, I saw the datas that show the imbelievable increase in the
number of infected people in your country and it's worrying.
Last week, some Governors: New York, California...had the intelligence
and wisdom to take radical measures to limit the spread of the virus.
Meanwhile, in the government, they were trying to deny, minimize,
say that everything was under control.
Unfortunately, that was not true.
Now, the rhetoric has changed but it's a little too late.
I hope for your sake that the means you will deploy to eradicate the
pandemic will be effective and that there will be very few victims.
I hope so with all my heart.

You are correct, not only has this increased the danger for those with compromised immune systems and our parents and grandparents etc, but has tanked our economy. I am the Director of IT for a Medical device/Biotech company that made a huge medical breakthrough and was on the verge of hiring hundreds, all that has come to a screeching halt. All hiring has been stopped indefinitely, only a small staff of techs are still in the office, and over 100 employees in California and Texas are working from home. There are already contingencies for possible layoffs to protect our cash burn, which come from investments from pharma partners in the US, Europe and China. We don't know now if we are going to get our next round, so our future right now is unknown.

And yes, going out and buying 5 years of TP is kind of weird. Most countries don't even use TP, the use soap and water to clean themselves, which IMO is way more sanitary. Anyway, enough toilet talk. Good luck to everyone, and again I pray for both the health and financial health of all of you and your families
