Yes you can. Meaning to say you can do a dual 21 with eco on as stage 1 and eco off as stage 2.

Thanks !
I did a set as SilverArrow, love the setup.
I seen where you and others have this rattle, metallic cold start up sound.
I too have it 2600 miles on car, tuned for about two weeks ago.
Don't know if I had it from the beginning,
But I have it.
Has anyone made any thing of it??

Could it just be the injectors? I've noticed that the injectors are loud AF on my car. Both before and after my tune.

When cold, I think it's a combination of the loud high pressure fuel pump and ticking injectors. Annoying, but pretty much normal for our car, it's not the tune.

So if I am driving in S (sport) mode, is there a different tune that goes with it? or is it the same as "D" modee?

D, S (and L) are factory transmission programs. Not tune related.

S will keep revs higher than D meaning it will tend to feel quicker around town and from stoplight to stoplight... at the expense of mpgs.

Me personally, I mostly just keep it in D and use my foot to control things. S revs too high to use all the time IMO.

I want quote a post said that "put it away mods intake if IAT higher than stock", but I cant found it anymore. Yess, absolutely CORRECT. I drive over a year w/ mods intake without concerning abt IAT, crazy ignition retard until today I give my mods intake with double heat shield. Ignition far away better even compare to stock. comparison between early mods intake VS double heat shield mods intake. Minimum and average same ambient temp, different time, same weather. : take look at this :
52 VS 29, and
60 VS 38 in CELCIUS

Thanks @KTuner give me beta version for support ECU 37820-5AG-U61. Just now, order another new one v1.2nfor was hat ECU. I hope u will update on fly map switch soon for Asia region.

I wanted to say thanks for all your information. Just installed the tsp stage 1 on my new 2020 sport touring cvt and it’s fantastic. I’m coming from a 2003 bugeye wrx wagon that was highly modified and tuned. The tsp stage 1 tune is really smooth and powerful on all three maps and the ability to switch on the fly is really outstanding.

With you having a 2020 have you checked with KTuner to see if your ECU has full support yet? Sometimes with partial support you might be missing some of the best features like on the fly map switching.

Would also like to share my tuning experience with KTuner. I hope OP wouldn't mind me to combine thread as i'm lazy to open another similar thread, i'll delete if OP is not OK with my post(s).

Sadly only initial support for my region's (asia) ECU :( hopefully KTuner will have more support soon but even with initial support it's doing a good job, loving it so far.
a little envy to see so many options available for other regions, yes i can see & tune all KTuner ecu versions but just gotta wait patiently.
just tuned 1 of my buddy's civic x cvt, not too bad so far.

Stock ECU map with some bolt-ons.

After a couple of runs (mind the end of the chart the dyno sampling button was wonky & owner was in a hurry)
Conservative tune, there's room for improvement for sure but i think this would be good for a sporty daily drive & not making a high HP/TQ dynochart "show"
Fuel : RON 95 (91 OCT)
Avg boost : 1.4 bar/20.4 psi (Peak 1.42 bar) boost measured from external boost gauge NOT on KTuner
Bolt-ons : full exhaust, mishimoto intake, ic

After spending several months reading various posts and threads (including this one from start to finish!), I think I've been convinced to pull the trigger on a v1.2. My HU is hacked so I figured I should save some money and use the TunerView app on it. Thinking about purchasing it from twostepperformance. Anything else I might need to know to get started?

Twostep is right, then you get their tune maps for free, just email them!

I just uploaded my newest tune setup and this might be the best yet:

17_19_21_s+.GIF

Early Spool: on

What's cool about this setup is it basically gives me six different tunes at my fingertips. I've got a factory boost econ button tune, 16.5 psi econ button tune, 17 psi normal tune, 18 psi econ button tune, 19 psi normal tune and a 21 psi normal tune. With different combinations of turbo response and ramp.

KTuner sure gives you a lot for your money.

**gtman and all the other contributors and fellow noobs (including myself here) - truly appreciate this ongoing journal. Great to see the evolution from using Starter Dual tunes from Ktuner to the TSP stage 1 tune. Just hooking up my v1.2 Ktuner I purchased from TSP. Loaded the TSP tune in Slot 1 on the device. Loaded the tune below into slot 2. It's my "Si interpretation" of your (gtman's) adjustments you've made to the Ktuner Starter dual. Some slight differences - Boost Target Ramp Rate only had factory, Agressive Ramp I, Agressive Ramp II, and Disable. Obviously, no Eco/Normal modes - so my Sport button is the toggle. I made my "normal" = the CVT ECO and "Sport" = CVT Normal. I do have Early Spool: on. Didn't change or drop Rev Hang just yet.

Doing the flash tomorrow - so fingers crossed. I think I will start with the gtman setup first as a lot of my driving is below 4K RPM and I just want to see how the car feels. Then I'll follow into the TSP Stage 1 tune. So Stoked! Thanks again and I look forward to more discussions here!
