Got rear ended yesterday :(

I was stopped at a red light when my civic got slammed into by the car behind me. Do you guys think this will get totaled? I’m heartbroken right now.

Wow I'm sorry, that looks rough . Best wishes on your journey forward. But that damage looks pretty rough (not a mechanic) so I can't say.

Hopefully totaled time for a new car!

need more pictures from other angles to even begin to guess the extent of damage.

Wow that sucks. I have a front dash cam but seeing stuff like this makes me wonder if I should get a cam for the back too. Sorry for your loss.

My guess is that it’s not totaled. Since you have a sport touring which has a higher value I don’t think the cost of repairs will be more than 75% of the value.

That sucks coming from someone the got rear ended two times at a light my 2014 Elantra I had for two days and got rear ended it was just the rear bumper nothing big but three years before that was my 2004 Tiburon GT when the SUV hit me at a light which I was sitting at for a while I realized that it was bad when I couldn’t open the passenger side door and the damage was similar to yours. How are the gaps between the doors? Do the doors open and close freely? Is the roof creased? Unfortunately these are thing the body Shop and insurance company determines that it totaled

I don't think it matters tbh... he clearly got rear ended so he's not at fault.

What we cannot see in the picture is what will determine if the car is totaled. Number of airbags deployed and frame damage are going to weigh heavy on the verdict.
