Clearly. Although I was thinking of straight piping it. OK, no I wasn'tThis is clearly not the thread for someone who owns a Toyota Sienna lol
I keep trying it and it never really works, only worked once ):Here's how you can get a single loud bang: Hover around 3K RPM in 4th or 5th gear, apply light throttle for 1-2 seconds, ease off, then reapply. Do it 5 to 6 times, and depending on how loud your exhaust setup is, and how hot your exhaust piping is at the time there will be a single POP! Mine can range between sounding like a baseball bat hitting a ball, to a low-level gunshot when the piping is sizzling!
Excellent party trick for car enthusiast passengers, or to whip back in shape a distracted motorist as you are passing them
Did you just want a louder exhaust? And to think... this was exactly what I hated the most about my muffler delete... to each their own tho. I can’t wait to not have to hear the snap crackle pop anymore... had I known it would do that I’d have left the mufflers on!
You're calling the Si a slow car?Actually no... i had my fp/dp installed at my friends shop and Before I dropped off my car I was asking about doing resonator or muffler delete so I could actually hear the exhaust because of how quiet it was in stock form, so when I picked it up he “surprised” me with a free muffler delete... lol I didn’t care that much until I had to drive it around and found it to be embarrassing, slow car that had more bark then it’s bite...
yes, it’s a slow car... that is just the facts. I never expected it to be fast, it’s heavy chassis and underpowered 1.5 liter to think otherwise is delusional... even with a flex fuel kit, full bolt ons and a custom tune it is indeed not a fast car...You're calling the Si a slow car?
Depends on your definition of fast. A lot of people have never had or even been in a car that runs under 13s, for those people i could see the Si in stock form coming across as fast.yes, it’s a slow car... that is just the facts. It’s a fun car to drive, in stock form it’s pretty anemic tho... flex, bolt ons, a good tire and a high 12 is possible...Depends on your definition of fast. That being said and I could be wrong, but arent there FBO flex fuel SIs running 12s? Again i could be totally wrong. I agree with you, factory they are not fast at all, with FBOs tune and flex id say its upgraded to quick at best. Definitely not slow though unless you daily a CBR1000 or the likes.
Im with ya, If your car is loud it better be able to rip! It’s a fun car to drive, in stock form it’s pretty anemic tho... flex, bolt ons, a good tire and a high 12 is possible...
I never got to track mine but at the same time I wasn’t that motivated to do so knowing what the best possible outcome would be... to get it where I wanted it would require more money then it’s worth to me and hence my decision to trade it in for a type R... not to say the type r is much faster because in reality it’s not at least on a drag strip... but to have a civic with such a loud exhaust as is created by a muffler delete is kind of an embarrassment, and this is why I piped into this thread...
100%!!! Someone’s gotta speak the truth a bit in here!Im with ya, If your car is loud it better be able to rip!
Never really understood the desire of a pop and crackle tune on a otherwise stock car or in general for that matter. Different strokes for different folks I guess, as long as it makes em happy.
