I have one on order. No date as far as arrival, yet. I'm also wondering what it will look like after some use....but there is only one way to find out. I can always go back to stock so we'll see.
What is the price they charged you for the steering wheel??
I don't daily my car, so I think it will stay nice and clean for a while. Maybe I'll just have to wear racing gloves every time I drive. lol!
Alcantara is not a natural product. It’s a trademark name for microfiber. Alcantara is not suede. The CTR has fake Alcantara everywhere else because it is not the “brand” Alcantara. The fact that they chose to use Alcantara on the wheel leads me to believe it will be more resilient than just plain ole microfiber.
Alcantera is a brand name synthetic textile made of a microfiber, suede-like material (according to Wikipedia). Honda uses a fake synthetic suede-like material for the Type R, or fake Alcantera.
Is there a part number for only the alcantara shift boot, @stephenmeadows ?
I could be wrong, but I think it comes as one full assembly from the factory.
